All the serious roles listed above are awesome, but he was also great in the Birdcage with Robin Williams. The last scenes where he had to escape the gay club in full drag was hilarious.

My God you're old! But you're not wrong. That was indeed hilarious!

Wait, they saw all that at the scene, and still decided to go with the 'no clear signs of foul play'?
Was it officer Rodney Farva?
I’m not sure why that’s confusing. No gun shot wounds, stab wounds, obvious trauma. So yeah, sounds like no clear signs of foul play. Hence the followup toxicology reports.

Pills everywhere, open door, dog dead in a bathroom closet, items moved, a dog inside and outside.
To go from no suspicion to "suspicious enough in nature to require a thorough search and investigation" is confusing. Why make that statement in the first place with so much observable evidence?

That sounds extremely sketchy. How is that no signs of foul play? There's literally poison scattered around a dead body. This sounds like it's a scenario out of the Clue boardgame FFS. How could anyone possibly conclude that it was a carbon monoxide leak from that?
It's possible the wife was so distraught, after finding Hackman dead, that she off-ed herself with the pills? Double suicide? Or one person murdered the other.
I always loved the military movies that Hackman did. Uncommon Valour was the first movie I saw if his - simply amazing. Crimson Tide, Bat 21, the Package and Behind Enemy Lines.
Then there’s the list of everything else… the Superman movies, Get Shorty, Mississippi Burning, The Firm, Unforgiven, Hoosiers, The Replacements, Enemy of the State and Runaway Jury. Just to highlight a few of the very many.
