Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth last week ordered U.S. Cyber Command to stand down from all planning against Russia, including offensive digital actions, according to three people familiar with the matter.

Standing down on OFFENSIVE digital actions (i.e. cyber attacks by America on others ) against another country is a good thing IMO, but they shouldn't be standing down on defensive activities like monitoring and security, etc. It's hard for Americans to be upset when other nations launch cyber attacks on them if they're doing the same thing to others. Problem with this is they need to get other countries, Russia in this case, to also stand down on their offensive digital actions on the US.
