Yeah I expected them to run the table on this trip

TB fans chanting USA despite their coach and a couple players being on the team which handed them a silver medal. Florida- dumbest humans in the US.

Maybe. I've seen the Flames work their butts off, be unlucky and not score, but this wasn't one of those games. They had very very few chances because they couldn't get inside Tampas defenders and had no answer for any other way to create chances.

But the broadcast went on and on about "not for lack of effort" as if that was some sort of superhuman effort that went unawarded, so much so that it makes me think it was a theme that the broadcast is trying to push.

No, the Flames are just inconsistent like most average to below average teams.

Essyimont is such a unlikable player. Big time agitator. Glad Hanley roughed that goof up.

Not necessarily running the table, but the offense is completely pedestrian. Those powerplays were next level atrocious. Majority of their shots were outside the circle or point shots. Vasi is the league's best goalie, and they didn't do nearly enough to make his life difficult in making those saves. This team runs a predictable cycle offense that's boring to watch, and hilariously easy to defend against since the entire league knows that playbook.

They just came off a solid effort in Washington. I guess I expected more of that for a team that is pushing for a playoff spot.

Then again, the team always does the opposite of expectations anyway.

Maybe don’t have a complete “tear down the team” meltdown because they lost a game. Jesus.

It sure would be nice to actually have something to cheer about for a change as opposed to 1 series win every 5 years, our star players leaving, and constantly getting clowned on by the greasers up north. I don't think it's a single game issue.

Not just lost a game...lost a game to the 1st or 2nd hottest team in hockey.

That's a freaking really good hockey team that found its stride right before the break and isn't looking back.

I really thought the hurricanes would be coming out of the east...not sure now.

Well apparently this isn’t one of my PVR games that I should bother to watch lol. On to the next one. I expect a bounce back.

What are we basing this "big news" off of? A few "insiders" on here?

I'm pretty sure any average Joe can say there may be a trade coming. The deadline is next week, and people like Seravelli have already said for a while the Flames are interested in Cozens and a depth dmen.

Actually I am. So much so I get accused of being a homer.

What bothers me is Sharangovic. He is getting prime ice and doing absolutely nothing with it. He is long overdue for a spell in the press box.

Look, I am sorry. I know I should not let my emotions be dictated by a hockey team. I don't mean to take it out on anyone here. It's cathartic to be able to say how I feel as I know so many of us are like minded on the team's direction. I realize being toxic and having emotional meltdowns on an internet forum aren't exactly healthy. I am sorry dissent. I am sorry, Rob. I am sorry Burningbeard. I will try to keep my negativity to myself.
