A more appropriate analogy would be someone coming to you for help getting out of a cult. Even then, people in your run of the mill cults are only harming a very small social circle of people. Trump voters have and are indirectly causing extensive harm to millions of people, in and outside of their own country.
You've had pretty near a decade to figure out who Trump is and what he is capable of as a politician. Although I will welcome you back into the realm of the normies, I have very little sympathy if you're getting exactly what you've asked for.
|
The cult was my first analogy and they didn't like it. People get so wrapped up in semantics of crap like that. "Well it's not EXACTLY like that." Yeah, I know. It's analogy. A comparison. It's not meant to be an exact replica of the situation.
The broader point is we need to welcome back our friends and neighbours if/when they break whatever it is that got them down this road or they'll just turn around and go deeper and that helps exactly no one. The people can't just disappear, so the only hope is that they change their minds. I have some great friends and family members that have being warped by this nonsense and the second they come to me and suggest they might have been wrong it will be a sigh of relief and point to celebrate, not attack them for. Because I want them back in my life (for the most part).

Lol! I trained my dog using Negan's whistle from The Walking Dead....this would have been so much better.

Yes we can. But syrup bottles tend to be either plastic or the really good ones are considerably sturdy vessels of thick glass.
Its been tested.
Also, it could be like a Disney movie. Instead of the birds and deer helping make beds or whatnot we could weaponize Beavers, Bears and Moose. You dont wanna be on the wrong end of that!

We seriously need to weaponize the Canada goose - lethal on the ground, in the air and the water!

So Trump met with the British PM today and says he’s open to a trade deal where he won’t put tariffs on the UK. Meanwhile America’s two most important trading partners and neighbours will be tariffed up the ass. Man, f*** this guy. Why does the UK suddenly get a pass?

They don't have a perfect trade deal negotiated by the best negotiator on Earth for Trump to breach yet?
Pro tip Britain, don't trust the mother####er.

They are trying to politicize the military.
They are trying doing it across all services, Military, FBI, CIA, NSA.
Once you have MAGA Loyalists in positions all bets are off.
The military is just a cross section of society. There are servicemen & servicewomen that agree with what he is saying.

#### you too, Starmer.
Quote:
Starmer was asked if King Charles had expressed concern over Trump’s repeated claims that he wants to annex Canada. As he responded, Starmer accused the reporter of “trying to find a divide between us that doesn’t exist,” before Trump interrupted to tell him “that’s enough.”
|
Quote:
“For the prime minister,” began one reporter, “did you discuss, with President Trump, his repeated statements of desire to annex Canada, and has the King expressed any concern over the president’s apparent desire to remove one of his realms from his control?”
|
Quote:
“You mentioned Canada,” Starmer said, speaking after the president. “I think you’re trying to find a divide between us that doesn’t exist. We’re the closest of nations and we had very good discussions today, but we didn’t discuss Canada.”

Canada Republic now. #### Starmer and their stupid useless king.

Oh the U.S can keep Alaska. Regardless of today's geopolitical climate they're the shield against Russia up there. They can keep it. No way Russia doesn't lick their chops if the U.S didn't have Alaska. We don't have the defense power to guard that space.

Yes. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't revelling in some schadenfreude. But it's a small internal victory because the reality is that it's genuinely painful and detrimental to our daily well-beings.

I assume you're talking about the Shawnee? I don't think they're going to trust us again.
Quote:
With England committed to fighting Napoleon in Europe, few troops could be spared to defend Canada. To augment his limited force, British Maj. Gen. Isaac Brock relied heavily on a Native confederation led by the Shawnee war chief Tecumseh. Opposed to American expansion beyond the Ohio River, Tecumseh, and his brother, Tenskwatawa, or the Prophet, formed a pan-Indian alliance to resist the United States. Brock promised the restoration of lands should England emerge victorious, and Tecumseh cast his lot with the British.
Tecumseh and his warriors quickly distinguished themselves in the opening campaign for Fort Detroit. They disrupted Brig. Gen. Isaac Hull’s extended supply line to Ohio. Tecumseh’s presence during the siege gave the British a psychological advantage that ultimately forced Hull to surrender. Combined with the loss of Forts Dearborn and Mackinac, the victory pushed the American frontier from the Great Lakes to Fort Wayne in Indiana Territory. Warriors soon ascended on that post as well as Fort Harrison outside modern Terre Haute and laid siege. U.S. Maj. Gen. William Henry Harrison relieved Fort Wayne in September and began his push to recapture Detroit.
