There's a video floating around with Don Jr saying they should have been sending weapons to Russia not Ukraine. Not going to post links because there is some debate if it's fake.
If it's verified, I'll post something.
Insane that it's plausible the dope said that.

Yes. In fact, I would bet that on whatever deal Ukraine signs with Trump, they only receive a fraction of anything that they were told they receive, if anything.
It's how Donald has always done business. He would hire contractors to build his buildings, then wouldn't pay them because he knew they couldn't afford to sue him. They'd end up settling for what they were owed minus what the expected legal fees would be if they sued.
Whatever the deal is, Ukraine will be indentured to the U.S. under the threat that he just decides not to honour the deal and takes away any security guarantees. He will always demand more from them. It's how he operates.

The thing is, he's actually notorious for making pretty crappy deals. And then yeah, when he can refuse to pay and lawyer up over and over, the scheme of not paying back works. But that's not really how things are done in a country-to-country negotiations. He's signing things on behalf of the US government, not as a private entity that he can just direct to not send an e-transfer.
And he probably won't be the guy in charge by the time it comes to F anyone over anyways. It's a long-game play for Ukraine hopefully betting on the next US leader not being this clownshow. Trump has no long game. He'll be dead soon.

We know that Trump refuses to pay creditors.
Who wants to bet that whatever he promises Ukraine, he doesn’t pay up?

Folks, thee are plenty in the Republican party that are pro Ukraine and at very least anti Putin. He needs those members at least until mid terms and maybe moreso after.
Even of it was up to him, which its not. He won’t default. This isn’t his money, he needs the votes, and its really just him needing to show off “a big beautiful deal”
Ukraine knows this

Republicans have shown almost no spine on any issue so far, hard to believe they start soon.

Rubio used to be anti-Russian and pro-Ukrainian.
They all end up doing what Trumps wants.

Correction.
It's kind of remarkable how the CIA hasn't locked these people up as foreign agents long ago.

They didn't want to look 'partisan'. Meanwhile the Republicans obviously don't GAF about being perceived as partisan. What the Democrats fail to realize (and are still not able to actually figure it out based on what I've heard from their leaders since the election) is that their constituents WANT them to be partisan. They don't want stupid compromises that make things worse to "appease" conservatives. "Oh here's your half baked version of healthcare which still doesn't solve the problems of the insurance companies themselves." Like, NO. Universal healthcare or GTFO. "Oh, we're worried some fools might riot, so we don't to put this obvious traitor and criminal in jail." No! Put him in f***ing jail. "Okay, then we'll also put people in jail from YOUR side." F***ing good!
They just don't think Democrats have the guts to actually fight for their stuff (because they haven't) and everything ends up watered down same old. So might as well send in Trump to burn it to the ground in whatever way he'll try.

An absolute #### show of a press conference between Zelensky, Vance, and Trump. Two men ganging up on an invaded nation, on live television.

Ukraine will want US companies to invest in mining and refining in the Ukraine. Once Russia is less of a threat they can put royalties and taxes on these companies.
I don’t think any deal here actually costs the Ukraine much as they need all the capital reivestment they can get. So if you get large investments to build mines it needs to come with housing for workers and your economy gets built around mineral export.
There is economic benefit created by the minerals being extracted.

What is with the sudden focus on Ukraine's minerals? It's not like this was just discovered yesterday. Ukraine has always been happy to trade with friendly countries.
They already produce and export things like iron ore, coal, titanium oxide, etc. Not to mention food like wheat and poultry.

I can't decide who's a bigger piece of ####, J.D. Vance or Trump. What a shambolic, ugly ####ing press conference by two borderline, if not completely evil, lost people.

Imagine hearing that, when so many of your people have been murdered over the last few years.
Absolutely disgusting.

Christ, that is probably the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Two narcissistic sociapaths ganging up on a guy being forced to beg and give thanks. Dude couldn't even finish a single sentence before getting crapped on. Then Trump rambling on about Hunter Biden's laptop and Obama's sheets? Pretty sure the writing is on the wall for the end of US aid, and it is as evident as it's ever been. Conservaties on the reddit subs absolutely loving this "demonstration of American strength" right now.
Meanwhile Putin watching and laughing his ass off while high-fiving his ministers at the stupidity of Americans for voting this ####-show back in. I give Zelensky props; he tried his very best to get along with this administration and play their game, but very clearly there is no game to be played. It's give up your country for...nothing so a few billionaires can get even richer.

Wow, that was a gross spectacle and abuse of power. Trump and Vance look like absolute morons and #######s to anybody that cares at all about the future of Ukraine.
