Just caught this. So ####ing weird and one of the coolest uses of practical effects I've seen for the vampire like monster.

Watched a Quiet Place Day 1, it exceeded my expectations. I thought it was going to be just a cash grab sequel from a franchise but it was so much better. Basically the story revolves around a woman who is dieing in a hospice when the aliens invade, and we follow her and her cat around the end of the world.

Lee. The story of a model turned WW2 wartime photojournalist for Vogue.

A gut-punch.

Especially relevant in light of Current Events. On Prime or elsewhere.

Part 1 was alright ,but I was also quite disappointed in that other than the timeline, it didn't feel like a true prequel. By the halfway point it seemed like it was just part 3 with the same recipe as the first 2. I wanted to actually learn about the aliens, their origin, the story behind them.

Watched The Gorge and that was an awesome movie, especially on my new QLED TV with surround sound. Good to see the GoT bad guys make a return

Yeah, great show.

Wild watching them complacently just hanging out gabbing and feasting right before all hell broke loose in Europe. That movie was so well done.

The Substance. That is by far the most ####ed up movie ive seen maybe ever. Even with expectations going in that it was going to be weird… i was not prepared for that. 9/10 loved it

In terms of effed up movies ever, Neon Demon is still #1 for me. Followed by Nocturnal Animals and Lastly, Requiem for a Dream.

EDIT: I forgot one more, AntiChrist. EFF, that, movie.

Just finished watching 'The Guard' - 7/10. I enjoyed it - a good true crime satire.

I'm becoming a bit of a fan of Brendan Gleeson. His dry, deadpan humor just works for me. Couple other movies I've enjoyed with him:

The Grand Seduction - 7/10
The Banshees of Inisherin - 8/10

There are some great lines in that movie.

“You lost me at ‘We’”.

Gleeson was so good in that movie! Highly under-rated actor.
