Does Canada have a balance of payments or current account deficit with the USA? I know, generally, we are in a current account deficit, but I can't find anything that narrows it down just to our deficit with the USA.
Something that used to be talked about decades ago was the fact that much of the benefit of our trade surplus is earned by American companies or investors operating in Canada. So, really, we are supporting them.
