It's not a question of if, but when now.
I wonder if he is might try and beat the record in even fewer games than Wayne.
He's got 23 games to go before he ties Wayne at 1487 gp and needs 16 goals. Will be interesting to watch this stretch.

The Caps have 25 games left and he's 12 away from tying and 13 from breaking the record.
He is scoring at a 0.71 goals per game pace this season. He only needs to average 0.52 goals per game for the rest of the season to break it.
