Is there any update on Basha? I know he is out "longterm", but is there a chance he can be back in time for the WHL playoffs? Or is he likely out for the season?

Last thing I saw was that he would only be available if Medicine Hat went on a deep run. He is unlikely to return in the first round.

He only has 31 total points but 25 Even Strength. That is top 20 in the WHL.
His 10 even strength goals is 4th overall in the WHL.
He is outscoring Carter Yakemchuk at even strength by 7 points. Now to be fair, Carter has played 13 less games. But Jamieson rarely gets more than PP2 time on his team.
This is why I think he is underrated. He did the same thing last year while being top 10 in shots generated by Dmen in the WHL and he is very consistent and not prone to injury (has missed, at most, 1 game a season for the last 3 seasons).

And yak barely plays D. Is he playing with DuPont a lot?

He does, but weirdly enough they do not seem to be assisting on each others points often.
They play primarily 5v5 together. Dupont plays PP1 and Jamieson sometimes PP2.
It's actually odd how little they contribute to each others scoring considering it looks like they play almost all their 5v5 shifts together!

Love that he is going to Denver next year. Could be an awesome development path for him.
Can someone remind me what the deal is for holding rights to CHL drafted players who move to the NCAA? At what point would we risk losing him (Or Mews or Misa, etc if anyone else goes this route).

The clock resets, and we would have until Aug 15th 2029, to sign any of Jamieson, Mews, or Misa (should they elect to move to the NCAA).

Agreed. I check periodically to make sure Jamieson is on the ice when Dupont gets a point even-strength , and vice versa.

Dupe played with Jamieson little bro for a few years too. Was just wondering if seeing the next Jesus makes you rethink your own game a bit, to not be quite as conservative so much. Coaches want dmen to mind their own zone but 100% of them don’t actually mean it. Took me two kids to realize that tidbit. Thanks fellas.

Battaglia is held pointless, and was -1, in a 6-4 win over Barrie. He is tied with Luke Misa (among others) for 12th in scoring, with 54gp/32g/41a/73pts,+9, 26 PIM. As looooob said above, the two Flames prospects have almost identical stat lines, with Misa at 53gp/32g/41a/73pts,+36, 4 PIM.

His pace has cooled off a bit, but still has 16 points in 15 games since returning at the beginning of January. His 1.51 ppg is second only to Parekh's 1.63 ppg.
41gp/20g/42a/62pts,+44, 26 PIM.

Hurtig is out again, as the Hitmen waste Regina, 5-0.
Laing was named first star in a 4-3 win over Lethbridge, with 2g, and a +1. 52gp/18g/16a/34pts,+13, 31 PIM.

12 points in 16 games since joining Saskatoon. Seems the move was good for him.

He is still only 18 (until May) so next year will be his 19 year old junior season - still young. Who would be a good comparable?

My investment has an infinity negative rate of return. One still 0.000001% of hitting. Turns out no matter how good you are, if you’re small you have to be outlandishly good. If big, you can actually be pretty crappy.
