Honestly though, I don't see a U.S. civil war as being one with clear sides or battlegrounds. It would be more like The Troubles or the types of movement you see in places like South America. Basically just super high murder rates and terrorist attacks with no boundaries

"no boundaries" is what bothers me. History is littered with Civil Wars that spread outside of the orginating nation's boarders

I thought they did Peacekeeping or Peacemaking missions. Was it not NATO who was involved in the Rwandan genocide? There was a prominent Canadian presence there but I thought it was NATO. Struggling to remember my sociology class where we studied that genocide.

NATO intervened in Bosnia, Kosovo, and Libya under UN mandates to enforce resolutions. They were kind of like hired guns you could say.

This is actually one of the reasons why Russia is all in a tizzy over NATO.
