This makes no sense we have zero room. Unless it’s player for player trades. And we have heard Kadri/coleman don’t want to be traded.
Only players to dump that make sense is Sharangovich and Rooney.

To me if I were Vancouver I'd try and give Pettersen a couple months off. Nobody knows what the particular situation was, but now that one half is gone, he probably just needs time to himself to detox. I hope they can work it out because he's a solid player to have. Miller was an overrated bum.

Pospisil maybe? I would like to keep him for 4th line and spot duty up the lineup with injuries

We have plenty of those as well and Pospisil gives you grit on that line.
The Flames needed top line players so the only that makes sense.

One thing that would be interesting in the next CBA would be to allow players to re-negotiate their salary at the time of a trade.
Not something I'd want teams to be able to do at any time since teams would 100% abuse it and try to force guys on the team to renegotiate all the time.
But at the time of a trade it would be interesting. Like if Jones would be willing to take a pay cut and the team acquiring him would also make the trade in that scenario then I think that could be interesting.
Guys like Jones signed a big deal, but a team like Chicago has no real incentive to retain salary either, but not sure he should be stuck there to play out his contract if he was willing to take a lag cut.

Was talking with my brother tonight about Flames trade rumors and whatnot and one of his last thoughts was he didn't want to see Weegar or Andersson traded.
I agreed but I also mentioned that Parekh is coming like it or not next year. Don't think any human alive would send him back to the OHL . He can't go to the AHL. But I was thinking with the new NCAA rules maybe he would spend a year in college?
Don't know if that works. Either way, Flames are going to have a log jam of RHD fight for spots next year.
Another scenario is maybe the move Parekh if they could Land a great center. Like a really great center.

What if whoever is picking 2/3 offers the pick for him and Misa is there?

Question is is what center would be considered 1 for 1 value assuming a nothing else is involved which i assume is the premise of the trade?
How would Ritchie say compare?
Parehk has top pair, point producing, defensively ok projection to me. Unless Ritchie ( just an example ) projects as a top six if not top line player the value would be off. The type if trade that is spoken of for generations.
Obviously projection is subjective but if the right guy came back i would be for it.

I would do that. I think Misa is comparable to Celebrini and i was higher on celebrini making an impact than most seemed to be.

If CBJ offers Fantilli for Parekh, you take that and run.

Yeah, I think his play is just going to scare away too many potential buyers, you need more certainty from a player making that much money. I think it is going to be very hard for Vancouver to trade away this player, given his current play, watching him, he looks slow and a step behind the play.
If they could trade him, they probably would. The more likely scenario is that they work with the player and try to get him in better physical shape

It’s interesting to think about. Is Parekh possibly a Makar? I don’t think anyone would trade Makar for Fantilli one for one. Yet we still don’t know what Fantilli or Parekh are going to become. So it’s up in the air as of now.
I wouldn’t trade Parekh for anything less than a surefire #1 Center prospect or current elite NHL Center.

How about we just keep our own record setting, memorial cup winning top 10 picks and let them play their careers here?
Don't trade parekh for anything. Definitely trade 1 or more.of Rasmus, weegar, Mews, bzrustewicz for the best center or pick for Misa.

We should definitely have tried to pull dylan strome a few years ago. His value was so low, now a ppg center on the top team in the league.
Mctavish comparable? Cozens?
