Kind of depends on what we get as a first round pick, doesn’t it?

A bit odd to call both up. That's 10 healthy Dmen on the active roster and we are over the 23 man limit by 1.

Something will be happening, which is exciting.

No one expected Kuznetsov to fetch anything. Clearly Barrie is bringing us Pettersson.

I think it has to be more than that, unless they don't care about having a 13th forward on the team.

They'd have to dress 11F and 7D if any last minute injury popped up in warmups.

Did they make the call up after he was hurt or before?

He's 6'4'' and puts up lots of offence at the AHL level. I can see why the Flames took a chance on him. It's actually kind of odd that he can't find some way to contribute at the NHL level, with his reach and offensive ability.

IMO he just doesn't think the game at the NHL level. Always reactive instead of proactive.

I just dont see a player there when i watch him, yet as you say, he appears to have a lot of attributes.

Exactly this which explains why he's so often out of position or not understanding of his assignments.

This is Kuznetsov's first real opportunity. He got one game last year but that doesn't count. He was a standout in the Wranglers game I watched on Saturday. I'm pulling for the kid.

Hanley and Barrie can go.
He's certainly had a slip, but one that overlaps with an elevated role with Bahl out.

If you're assessing the guy as a 6-7 that's not really fair.

In the 7 games without Bahl he's a 41.7% defenseman.

In the previous 17 games before the Bahl injury he's a 55.1% guy.

I think in a sheltered role he's been great.
