How many players are on the active roster? I assume both Zary and Bahl are still on IR

Solo should be in the lineup going forward, he was excellent.

Put all of Barrie, Miromanov, and Bean on waivers. Or at least Barrie and Bean.

Bean has been fine. Miromanov can go on waivers.

Keep Barrie until the deadline and see how things go.

I'm guessing Bean won't be demoted but Miromanov & Barrie likely headed down.
Also surprised no forwards were recalled but there's time.

This is kind of exciting. See what these guys can do just as Conroy said hes wanted to do for years with our guys seasoning/ cooking on the Wranglers .

I really hope this is also part of Trent Culls being on staff as an assistant coach and going to bat for his players .

From the Net out this team is taking small calculated steps. FINALLY!!!

Its refreshingly awesome to see belief in our new culture . Guys need to see promotion from within is possible matching the words , intent and now action .

This hopefully filters down and makes Parekh and Bryz work harder dig deeper to make the team someday.

I think this could mean a couple of things. Either Barrie and/or Miromanov go down, and/or Bahl isn’t ready

Think we need more of a viewing of Solovyov to see where he sits.

They elevated him to play with Andersson in that one game and his numbers weren't good at all.

I think he's fine on a third pairing with some sheltering though.

Bean and Hanley have both been excellent in the 6th spot this season, they're not going anywhere in my mind.

Barrie looks to be done, and Miromanov has had a tough go in recent games (transition and offence in his game has completely fallen apart).

With Bahl back I wonder if this is more of a practice week call up than anything else.

"gotta see what we have before the deadline"

I can almost hear Conroy saying that.

Love these moves! Solo looked like a solid 5-6 NHL D since last year. Glad we didn't lose him in waivers.

I really don't get the love for Hanley.

He had a very short run where he played well above expectations, but as per usual, he has once again shown since new year that he is not a very good defensemen. He has been dreadful over the last 12 or so games.

Hanley and Barrie can go.

Forward? He should stay defense.

PuckPedia has Hanley listed as being out day-to-day for "personal" reasons.

Miromamov is just a bust, he probably was when Conroy traded for him. That trade really stings

I have a hard time writing off Solo without playing him at least 15-20 games the rest of the way at the NHL level. He's at the point where he deserves a shot to show whether he's grown further or not. If that comes at the expense of Barrie, so be it.

Hanley is fine, but he's more of a dependable 7th man you can rotate in and he won't hurt you much in his own zone. Playing him regularly is the issue.

Bean is fine as a 3rd pairing guy as he has some skating ability and offensive instincts. He and Pachal are a good match because Pachal does the physical work down low in the zone that Bean struggles with.

It's clear that Miromanov is just not going to be an NHL regular defenseman. A tweener or 7th man, maybe, but he just can't defend well enough and doesn't create enough offense with his skills.

I think it's also clear that Barrie just can't keep up with the pace anymore. He was already a mediocre to suspect defender before he slowed down, but now he's a flat out liability. It was a nice experiment to see if he could contribute, but I think it's clear that he's below replacement level at this point.

Glad to see these guys really get a chance to play. They've put in the time in the minors to develop their habits. They were never going to be more than solid defensive d-men, but we really could use some of that on this team to support the low event style of play they want to execute.

Bout time Kuznetsov gets a look.

No one ever talks about him but he is a big, steady, defense first guy. Something this team has lacked for a long time.

Hope he gets a shot and shines.
