Funny that Ederson cost them the match, cause he's what kept it even close. I expect they'll get humiliated next week, could easily see 6 or 7 against.

I know he can still be good for one stunning play a game but De Bruyne looked like a shadow of his former self today. Will be an extremely hard player for them to replace.

Bellingham had an amazing game, tide switched when madrid put him more central. Vinicius tied Messi in Knockout round assists with that final goal. Madrid just have so many guys who produce in these games. Fun game to watch as a neutral

He's interesting. He had really slid down-hill after those injuries.

Usually a ball-playing midfielder lasts longer than this.

KDB is the best player I've seen over the past fifteen years. Incredible passing ability. He's up there with Pirlo and Modric for sure. He's not that young though, he'll be 34 in June. Tough to keep going at that age with the injuries he's had.

his legs are gone. Expected him to go to Saudi Arabia last summer when those rumours popped up.

MLS always seemed more likely for him. Has a young family so can't imagine Saudi would play well with them.

Go to Saudi for the payday, then go to MLS after admitting the 'lifestyle' isn't for you a la Henderson.

KDB's PL earnings are probably at least triple what Henderson's were. Desperation for the payday levels are much lower.

and that's before you factor in that City's numbers can't be trusted one bit. They probably pay him a lot more via offshore accounts and whatnot.

Pirlo? No. Modric? Maybe? I'd put him under Kroos.

But he is an exceptional talent.

Those guys though, their game just kept on going and going and going. His fell off a cliff.

Which isnt what one normally expects of a playmaker.

Tough sell to say he is better than Modric.

Modric has 6 CL titles, a Balon D’or, and instrumental in taking Croatia to a world cup final amongst other very strong performances in international tournaments. He is the most decorated player in Real Madrid history. 184 caps for Croatia is just insane. There is an argument to be made that he is the best midfielder of the last 30-40 years. The man has had 2 primes.

De Bruyne is an all time great Premier league player but his resume lacks the achievements compared to Modric. Two very different midfielders tho, individually I can maybe see the argument that at their peaks De Bruyne was better. I’d still take Modric.

Best player of the last 15 years? Idk about that either. He is probably in my top 10 tho.

I'm sure this will jinx Bayern right into the lead, but they are struggling mightily against Celtic, all level with 20 to go.

Davies just about earned his entire contract with that goal

On the one hand it definitely feels wide open, on the other go ahead and pencil in another Madrid title.

It's wild. I don't think there is a particularly good team out there. They all have weaknesses and pretty big flaws. Especially compared to the last decade+ where it felt there was at least 3 or 4 really good teams every year (City, Real Madrid, one or two of Liverpool, Bayern, Juve, etc)

I feel for Pep. City clearly haven't invested enough this past January.

Their chances were basically zero coming in, but that was a pretty sad effort from City in that half. Looked like they cared more about damage limitation than trying to win.

Pretty catastrophic couple days for Serie A to end their hopes of a 5th UCL spot next year.
