Also, if you haven't donated to Nate Pike's defense from her bullying a-hole associates, he's doing good work out there with The Breakdown. I shot him $25 last week. https://www.gofundme.com/f/vggge-legal-defense-fund

I've called him worse in the Cdn Politics Thread.....

The best test for legitimacy is whether a business would incur the expense even if it wasn't deductible. "Hosting" would be the first thing to be heavily scrutinized and significantly reduced for most companies.
It's also just a funny premise to begin with.
Dear valued customer, here is $1000 out of petty cash as a thank you for your continued patronage = bribery and obviously wrong.
Dear valued customer, here is $1000 worth of hockey tickets as a thank you for your continued patronage = A-Okay!

"Considering the mounting allegations, I would like to reiterate my recommendations from cabinet on Tuesday," Guthrie's memo states, referring to the cabinet meeting held earlier this week.
He lays out five urgent actions. "Remove Andre Tremblay as CEO/administrator at AHS and as DM [deputy minister of the Health Ministry] until such time as an investigation is complete," he writes.
Tremblay was appointed as interim CEO and the one-man board of directors of the massive hospitals agency last month, after Mentzelopoulos and the previous seven-member board were both ejected.
"Min. Adriana LaGrange should be moved to another unrelated ministry until an investigation is complete," Guthrie's memo states.

She shouldn't be given another ministry! Oh, let's take this person who's being investigated for corruption and give her another playground. Good thinking. Banish her to the tar pits of Atoan.

It wouldnt be Loewen, no way to do all his international travel and funnel business to some random unnamed hunting outfitter company.

I imagine that things will get interesting here. It's not often that a cabinet minister publicly takes a shot at another one and suggests these kinds of radical changes. And you know that if someone is saying this publicly, then there are more people saying it behind closed doors.

I remember another poster commenting about some heated hallway discussions around the time the ticket issue first broke and prior to M. Smith’s departure. I wonder what they’re hearing now.

However in reality, we are looking at a large hole in the UCP armour

Based on Smith’s refusal to even entertain the idea of throwing DeRanged under the bus I’m guessing she’s too screwed to have that save her.

I mentioned Loewen earlier, this is what hes done.
I have talked about this with a family member who is a wildlife biologist here in the province and he cannot explain why the change to open hunting like this was made other than profit. Its NOT based on science or conservation. In this case, these hunters probably killed 3 cougars, not one.

The Alberta government has succeeded in shutting down Nate Pike and The Breakdown. I guess he’s hitting too close to the truth. I hope it’s up again soon but until it is here’s Nate’s emotional announcement.

On Family Day, I'm reminded that Don Getty at least bribed us with a new holiday in the middle of February when he didn't want to resign due to a scandal.
Where's our new holiday, Danielle? I want a new holiday.

I’m not opposed to hunting per se, but chasing a cougar up a tree with dogs is appalling to me.

“GPS collar hounds, hunters looking at iPads, shooting out of tree … and nobody else can have a dog off-leash, but cougar hunters can.”
