It doesn't shock me. I get direct communications from the Florida Department of Health and the Surgeon General. Last fall they advocated strongly against getting booster shots for COVID.
Guess what? My 96 year old grandmother-in-law is now in the hospital battling a COVID infection.

Just being lazy and shocked (I know, nothing should be shocking anymore) after reading your post.
This is pretty basic ####. Like yes, we all know this, but we really don’t need people saying this so publicly, because then in order to save face he really will follow through on his poorly thought out “strategy” and threats.
Just let things play out how they will and let Canada put the States back in their place when the time comes. Even if they came and took over the country, there’d be so much quiet activism to undermine the USA here it’d be a nightmare for them.
It’s all speculation until mid march. There will be talking heads kicking it around until then.
I guess in the meantime there’s not much you can do outside of preparing for the worst and long term opening up other markets for canadian goods.
If everything does unfold there will be short term pain but long term it’ll probably make canada stronger. It’ll force a lot of change internally to make the country more efficient.
I don't think a military invasion will happen. It appears that the Trump administration's goal is forced economic annexation. They want to try and crush our economy through tariffs to the point where over time it gets so bad that we'll have no choice but to join them.

I don’t think it would be successful. People need a lot of our products as most of them are raw materials. What it will do is focus a lot of energy towards infrastructure development to enable us to export our products elsewhere or even within Canada itself.
I still think it’ll definitely be short tern pain (on both sides of the border) but long term strengthening of Canada.
Trump will get a lot of blowback as well within his own borders because the tarriffs will drive inflation in the US.

Hey neighbor a few towns south… Hope she feels better. I’m getting my shots Tuesday.
4 days after my 5th Covid shot I was diagnosed with pericarditis. Very very painful and took weeks for it to go away. Maybe it was due to the COVID shot; maybe not. It is a known, but rare, possible side effect. I got 3 shots that day.
After that I get my shots individually and it’s been okay.
There are so many places I hesitate to go because I know they are full of anti vax types.
