I guess I believe what she is saying. She came out publicly stating her story, even wrote a book about it (not that writing a book means anything specifically). If she was just making up stories and telling lies there would be people lining up to refute what she is saying.

The Conservative Party is advertising. That's good. They have some money. The Liberals are in a leadership campaign. The Liberals haven't started advertising yet. How do think Canadians will see the Liberal ads with Pierre Poilievre bootlicking, your term, the far right wing? We know who decides elections in Canada. Progressive, larger cities. Hope you don't have a dog.

I have no doubt she believe what she is saying.
So answer the question.

I have a problem with progressive socialists. I don’t care what color they are.
So Elizabeth Mae federally? I wouldn’t have guessed that.

Well, specifically brown ones that aren’t actually socialists, I guess.

I was reading this morning about some of the cuts that Trump and his team have made in the US, and I think that is the most concerning part about the CPC for me. I’d have to be convinced that they’re not going to import that kind of disregard for experts and knowledge. Frankly, it’s both terrifying and stupid.
The specific reading I was doing was about the EIH in the US, but we’ve heard similar sentiments from Poilievre here. Their brand of populism has this undercurrent of “we don’t need all these people telling us what to do, and they got the pandemic so wrong, so we should fire everyone”, and it’s troubling. This extends from health to finance (we’ve heard Poilievre saying he fire the Bank of Canada because he disagreed with their handling of the pandemic and inflation). I can see how other areas are hit with this under the guise of cost cutting and saving money.
And all of us have seen this in action, in Alberta. We saw Dr. Kinshasa not only be fired immediately, but then prevented from work after (allegedly). This is the same brand of populist politics espoused by Trump, Smith and Poilievre and I think the polls are tightening for that reason.

And this is why the Cons will lose the election. Nobody gives a flying f*** about the carbon tax at this point. There are much bigger things to worry about right now.

I doubt it would be as clinical as in the states. A lot of it seems based on revenge down there. But there would more than likely be scrutiny of the public service because it has grown so much, bank of canada mandates (because of how much money was printed), military spending, energy regulation ect
That would be my guess.

Pretty sure most people still care about affordability and making ends meet. We don’t even know if the tarriffs are going to be implemented or if it’s just a negotiating tactic yet.
