They tried the 50s thing in Wandavision, and that got old pretty quickly. This looks like it could be good though. Although, I'm not 100% on Pedro Pascal unless he spends a considerable amount of his screen time telling a young companion not to touch stuff. They had that really dialed in for the Last of Us and the Mandalorian.

I thought that for a while The Thing was one of Marvel's most popular characters. I remember reading comics as a kid how cool it was when he would duke it out with other super tough guys like Namor or the Hulk.

I'd wager he was in the 60s and 70s. I really think they nailed his look in this one, especially compared to past efforts. I'm a little stoked for an FF movie that hopefully connects well with the bigger MCU. They've been away on their own little island for over 30 years due to poor business decisions. And that's too long.

Well, they can't all be ####ty Joker movies "taking big swings", that's for sure.

The aesthetic looks great. The retro future stuff is cool to.
I like that it isn't a straight origin movie either. I also appreciate how they resisted the urge to race or gender swap any of the characters.

I'm sorry to report that the retro futurism has me.
Bingo. I'll watch this for them aesthetics alone.
The new Spiderman series on Disney+ is fun too. I love how it's seperate from the MCU. Not everything needs to become connected

Despite the Anglo-Saxon name of Pedro, the actor playing Mr Fantastic is actually South American descent from Chile.

Anyone see Captain America yet? Reviews seem to be pretty meh.
Yeah the reviews I've seen aren't great, mostly say a great cast was wasted on a bad script and too many links to other movies going all the way back to the Hulk. I think I'll wait for it to come to Disney+.
