Tulsi, RFK, Hegseth. You'd think this was all a joke, but no. Things are going to get a lot worse in that country. A lot.

How about those egg prices eh, Trump voters?

Imagine how bad it has to be for Mitch to be the good guy in a story...

Mitch McConnell: "Individuals, parents, and families have a right to … demand the best possible scientific guidance … But a record of trafficking in dangerous conspiracy theories and eroding trust in public health institutions does not entitle Mr. Kennedy to lead" these efforts.

I was told by eliminating DEI only the best most qualified candidates would get the jobs. So he must be the most qualified, otherwise it would mean Trump is full of ####, and we all know that isn't true because a good half of it is in his diaper at any given moment.

I was always cynical of America's intentions in Ukraine seeing them (and other European leaders) continuously deny Ukraine's requests over the last 3 years for NATO membership, while supplying Ukraine with enough weapons and financial assistance to guarantee that the battle continued, parts of Ukraine would be destroyed and never giving enough for Ukraine to actually defeat Russia. America has also successfully disintegrated trade between Europe and Russia, re-directing that trade to happen with America instead, and now Trump is demanding that Ukraine repay America by signing over Ukraine mineral rights, along with other things we may or may not find out about later, to allow Corporate America to plunder the country as they've done elsewhere in the past.

Feel terrible for the people of Ukraine, who will find parts of their land handed over to Corporate America, ultimately no membership into NATO, and a whole lot of resources and money taken out of their country and funneled into the pockets of American elites.

Don't forget Russia getting to keep all that they have taken as well.

But this is reality. All the handwringing in the other thread about corruption and scandal seems a little lame when you actually look at how the world works, especially now that it seems as if there is no pretext of international law anymore.

Honestly, I feel like I'm pulling for some serious climate change-driven natural disasters to knock the legs out from under everything right now...

Not to blame Biden entirely, but he really should have gave Ukraine nukes before leaving. Nukes were real leverage, words are not.

It is realistic though? Ukraine can't enter NATO if it's being attacked so Russia will always attack it right? Can the US prevent this without escalating a war with Russia?

Ukrainians I've spoken to are resigned to some concessions now, they just want the war to end. Is being in the west, or being in NATO/EU worth all this fighting?

Also bet you, many Europeans countries aren't that crazy about Ukraine being in NATO or the EU.

Ukraine should never have trusted Russia and kept the nukes they had.

So if the USA is essentially deny any responsibility for the Defence of ukraine in the future, why the hell are they the ones on the phone with putin regarding a ceasefire/treaty

I'd like Covid 2.0 with about a 30% mortality rate.

Grim and morbid... but you'd separate the science deniers and unvaxxed from the rest of us adults super quickly.

Follow my logic here as I blame Biden for the election loss.

Biden essentially gave the election to Trump by hand-picking Kamala as his successor. The Dems rubber stamped her. It’s now clear the country wouldn’t vote for a black-Asian WOMAN despite being the far better candidate. I believe more voters would have come out if the candidate was a strong male. Newsome, Shapiro or Waltz would have fared better.

However, I believe Musk and Putin stole the election so it might not have mattered.

That's as devastating as a nuclear war.
Covid at 30% mortality would likely be the end of humanity with or without vaccines.

Why? If it’s largely the unvaccinated we’d be better off, I reckon.

I can’t imagine being such a loser that I wouldn’t have at least a few family or friends who would fall into this category. Then wish death upon them to boot.
