They did lose a point after having 2 two goal leads I would probably go with Hill

4 Calgary boys on the team, should be 5 with Thompson.

Sid being 26-0 in his last 26 international games is truly one of the more absurd stats ever.

Crosby just excels at every type of situation. For my money he's been the best international Canadian player of my life time. It's s shame he's only played in two Olympics.

Mack puck hogged way better than McDavid, who was a non-factor.

Crosby outshined them both while reminding every one that teamwork gets it done.

A lovely, storybook ending.

That was a fun game, and a lot closer than it started off being. We really have been deprived of best on best hockey for way too long. Hopefully the NHL smartens up and doesn't quit on this, and it becomes a huge thing down the road.

Weegar definitely should have been in this game. I understand Doughty is Doughty, but he still looked rusty at times. Parayko - outside of his size - didn't really stand out, though I imagine against the larger and more physical American team, he might (though it isn't like Weegar is a slouch either).

I imagine Bennett suits up against team USA. I felt Andersson would have helped the Swedes get into the game a bit earlier. They looked soft and hesitant out there for the first while.

I don't like Binnington much, but he was good enough to win, though he gave me a few heart attacks. He really shut things down nicely in OT though. I imagine tomorrow's game will be a bit more one-sided, but still should be fun. Watching the Tkachuk brothers together should be fun, though I will be cheering against the USA.

Will be interesting to see if they go to Hill, Binnington made a couple of huge saves when needed in OT.

Crosby is so good.

MacKinnon looks like he hates McDavid, wouldn't pass him the puck in OT

Credit to the Swedes too, who could have very easily lost hope when it was 2-0 and 3-1, but kept battling, got a point and nearly won. They showed a lot of resilience.

As if I wasn't a big enough MacKinnon fan already.

Not that I agree with MacKinnon keeping the puck in OT, but I didn't think McDavid really impressed in any way. The most dangerous he looked on the ice was the tip.. on his own net. I expect McDavid to look better next game, but he just didn't show well. MacKinnon was playing at a way higher level (as was Crosby of course), so maybe that's partly the reason for MacKinnon hanging onto the puck? I though he should have passed, but at the same time, McDavid just didn't look dangerous.

I was waiting for MacKinnon - Crosby - Makar to start. Maybe Cooper didn't want all his eggs in the same basket, but that's the trio I would have preferred to start OT with.
