I wonder what's going on with PSN, it's been down since 4pm yesterday.

First the cancellation of 10 live service games leaving a massive hole in first party release schedule, the recent layoffs, MS Game Studios releases filling the massive first party hole, restructuring of key leadership roles and now this.

Nice little game that you can complete in a couple of hours.

Lord Jesus. It takes me about 24 hours to complete a season of NHL (the game I play the most). I usually get about 3 seasons done a year.

2800 hours the rough equivalent of 116 seasons.

I've been playing Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. So far it's a great game that reminds me of Elder Scrolls Morrowind and Oblivion. The combat is tough at the start, and I'm dying often. I never thought I'd like a historic realism RPG that lacks fantasy elements, but the world is so well crafted I just love exploring. Some of the NPC banter is hilarious.

If anyone is looking for a good meaty RPG, I'd recommend this.

You should retire like me. It opens up a lot of time for video games!

Are you playing with mouse/kb or gamepad? I started with mouse/kb and I've only got a couple of hours into the game, but I'm flailing around like an idiot in combat, someone said that the gamepad makes combat a lot easier.

The banter is hilarious... great writing.

I haven't started this yet but I understand that the combat starts off a little difficult but a fault of the game is that by the mid-point you get so overpowered that combat isn't overly challenging for the 2nd half of the game. Hopefully they can patch that.

I'm playing on Xbox, so I'm using a controller. The combat takes a bit of patience and you can't be overly aggressive or you gas out. Also equipment matters, I just finished a quest where i was able to loot some decent clothing and armor and now I feel like I can finally hold my own.

I feel like that happens with most large open world RPGs. Cyberpunk and AC Valhalla come to mind. By the end of those games, nothing really challenges you.

The first one is one of my favorite games of the last few years. Bought#2 the day it came out but haven't started yet. Can't wait

Yes that usually happens when a player dives heavy into the side quests while holding off on the main storyline and levels up to a point that's well above the main storyline quests. The review I watched said that he went light on the side quests (it's a massive game) and said there was a major boss fight in the 2nd half of the game that he killed in three strikes of the sword. I'm excited to play this game and all but that's not ideal.

It's always eye opening to me how much I play. By far the game I've logged the most time in the last decade was Red Dead 2 at something like 270 hours. I thought that was utterly obscene, then my niece is like "enh, 2000+ hours on Minecraft."

I'm sure there are games from when I was younger that took literally weeks out of my life--Star Craft, Sim City 2000, Age of Empires II, to name a few--but that hasn't been the case for 25+ years

I've played a ton of Wreckfest over the years. Amazing game. Wreckfest 2 is gonna be soo good (I hope)

Very true - i love how i can map my pedals and xbox controller seamlessly and hope to god wreckfest 2 lets me map any controller to any axis / button. Analog clutch available on all vehicles makes it so much fun. Adds another dimension for sure

How do you play so many games so quickly? What are your settings? How many games do you just sim? I never make it through a season but I play all the games and don't sim a thing.
