Just a couple gem quotes I just watched Carbon Tax Carney make in interview. This guy might be dumber and worse than Trudeau. Our country is a freaking circus.

Alright buddy, time to open up your left hand and put down the bottle of Gordon's, and open up your right hand and put down the bottle of Bombay, and then go take a nice nap.

I swear I would vote for the Liberals & Carney if he came out and said he would repeal bill C-69, support pipeline expansion & lower immigration. I wouldn't even care about the carbon tax at that point.
But he won't, cause he lives in the land of fairy tales and pipe dreams where people feed their kids with, I guess nothing.

Azure, you have asked for two things out of three that are totally incompatible with each other. I think there's a complete and utter misunderstanding of the demographic situation Canada is in that has infected our political sphere. Is immigration like 2023-24 sustainable? No. Can we just blanket lower immigration and expect to build, well, basically anything? Also no.
Canada is one of the highest capital cost jurisdictions in the world to construct things. Some of this is regulatory, but the major factor is compensation and employment. Canadians are expensive labourers. They expect to be paid. We also have an massive shortage of basically any type of skilled labor (BuildForce Canada has some really good stuff on this, not sure if it's publicly accessible but here: https://www.buildforce.ca/en/resourc...port#directory)
Basically, we don't have enough people to build the projects already underway in canada. In some cases, these deficits work out to 10s of thousands of skilled laborers missing in our market by 2050.
That's not considering new resource development or market access projects (pipelines and mines baby). That's just existing projects and the required housing.
So, you're essentially asking with your three policy positions to stem in the only reasonable flow of lower cost labor while also initiating billions more in capital projects, simultaneously?
It doesn't work.

Hey Johnny, what's your real name? I would like to start using your name in place of the word "##########" on the forums, so that you can come on and read that I think you're a ########## every day.
If that seems unreasonable to you, you should immediately stop doing it about someone you've never met.

you don't think a leader of a federal political party who supported the Freedumb convoy is a deplorable piece of kyit? Or that an Orange Rapist who is going to influence our GDP and might put us in a recession is a piece of kyit? ok onlyturekfan....
You posted this.... oh the fake outrage! lol

I don't know enough about O'Toole to know if he would have been a good PM or not, or to criticize him either. For whatever reason, he just didn't seem to inspire which is too bad. Being able to win an election is a completely different skillset than being able to lead government. Which sucks to be honest, because I'd rather have a boring candidate that might not be the best speaker, but at least has some brains.
The Liberals did the same thing with Stephane Dion, who IMO is a really intelligent guy and super qualified, but holy man was he boring to listen to. The Liberals were going to lose that election no matter what, but I think he deserved better.

I mean, you could at least try but somehow I think that line isn't going to stick for former Bank of Canada and Bank of England Governor and guy that has a Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate level degree in economics.

I have made this post to you before. You are using part of a person's NAME to dodge swear filters. Oliver Kylington is a real person with real mental health issues. You using his name as a placeword for "####" makes you look extremely infantile at best. At worst, as I have come to believe, it reveals that you are an utter and total moron. Mind that you immediately took this as some sort of political jab when it's very clearly just me chiding you (AGAIN) about your use of this person's name inappropriately. You are a piece of Kyit.

use some facts and figures. 50 years is a long time and immigration was not consistent during that entire period.
We need higher immigration than historically if we are going to build out to the aspirations of the same people who seemingly hate the idea of immigration.
Yes, I agree that immigration in the last 5 years has probably been a failing policy, but I likely disagree about why. We need more stringency, but we also need to offer more to immigrants. Otherwise we will just get a bunch of "student" immigrants.
