Just re-quoting this post from Sainters7 because Hughes mentioned in the article that the Stamps will regret losing Rose. If there is any truth to the rumor that Rose was causing issues in the locker room and didn't want to be in Calgary any longer, then it's a good thing that he was released and moved on regardless of how good a player he is.

Micah Johnson back to the Riders...
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have re-signed American defensive lineman Micah Johnson for the 2025 season.
The 36-year-old earned his fourth career All-CFL selection in 2024, registering 28 defensive tackles, four tackles for a loss, and six sacks in 18 games. He helped Saskatchewan allow the fewest rushing first downs (94) and the fewest rushing yards (80.3 per game) in the league. Johnson also stepped in as an emergency offensive lineman in the Labour Day Classic, playing two-and-a-half quarters at right guard.

I'm surprised that it's not more of a story that the CFL announced a salary cap increase after the legal tampering period started. That likely had serious impact on a few teams.
As for the Stamps, I am also disappointed in the lack of signings but they have been trying. They've been in on Stubblefield and Lawler. Sure they didn't finish the deal but it may end up being a blessing. Almost 300k for a WR is crazy.
My biggest concerns still are on both lines. I really expected some signings at those positions.

There are reports that Tre Roberson's deal with the Redblacks has fallen apart. I don't think DD will check in on Tre, as FF states above, both the offensive line and defensive line need some upgrades, the Stamps secondary looks fine to me.

Roberson looked last season like he was on the decline. I don’t think the Stamps will have any interest.

Sounds like the Stamps have signed Derrick Moncrief.

You are correct sir, Dave Naylor confirmation via the tweet below - I like this signing, Moncrief is a good add.

I don't believe Micah Awe has signed with a team as of yet, do the Stamps circle back and try to bring him back?

Same with Sean McEwen, the best part of their o-line the last couple of years.

From the 3DownNation free agency live blog:
1:42 p.m. EST — Another huge signing from the Lions, as veteran quarterback Jeremiah Masoli is headed to B.C. The 36-year-old has nearly 18,000 career yards to his name and should provide experience and mentorship behind Canadian star Nathan Rourke.

Stampeders are having a tidy day.
https://3downnation.com/2025/02/11/c...rick-moncrief/
4:50 p.m. EST — Calgary has officially announced the signing of Canadian defensive back Adrian Greene. The 26-year-old has previously started at halfback, where the Stamps currently have 2024 first-rounder Ben Labrosse pencilled in.
4:30 p.m. EST — The Stampeders have confirmed the addition of Canadian running back Jeshrun Antwi, bringing the former Dino back to his university stomping grounds.
4:06 p.m. EST — Canadian linebacker Fraser Sopik is rejoining the team that drafted him, the Calgary Stampeders have officially confirmed. After having a career year with Toronto, the former Presidents’ Trophy winner could be a solid replacement for Cam Judge.
3:41 p.m. EST — Calgary has added to its receiving corps, officially signing American Tevin Jones. The 32-year-old averaged over 18 yards per catch last season in Edmonton and could do even more with full-time starting minutes.
1:45 p.m. EST — The Calgary Stampeders have entered the fray, officially signing American defensive back Damon Webb. The all-star halfback should provide a real boost to a secondary that struggled last season.

As much as it pains me to see Awe, Rose, Williams gone. It might be a blessing that the team is clearing out players that didnt want to be here.
