What do you find socially regressive currently with the Conservative platform?

It’s funny. When you strip out all the socially regressive nonsense and the populist pandering to feelings of hate and stoking division, what’s left for PP that Carney doesn’t do better? Nothing.
If the economy is the number one thing, as many CPC supporters unconvincingly pretend it is, then the choice between a far right ideologue career politician with limited relevant experience and education and a centrist with a stellar education and experience successfully steering international economies through hardship with a pragmatic, future-focused approach is a compete no-brainer.
Or so you’d think. Maybe no-brain is too lofty a requirement.

Poilievre aside, you talking about the exact person who helped influenced and engineered the situation Canada finds itself in. Yet he is the best bet to see is forward?
You partisans man, but keep loading up on the condescending comments. totally changes the reality we are in.

He did? Perhaps you’d like to show your work.
Not sure how this is partisanship. I’m an NDP-voting socialist evaluating the difference between a pro-business banker Liberal and a populist career politician Conservative.
The nice part of being neither dedicated nor beholden to either party is that I can actually evaluate them without the pull of partisanship. Try it out sometime Andy.

You're only supposed to lick Pierre's boot Azure, not deep throat the entire thing.

I mean after Turdeau's first term you would be a brain damaged moron not to see how terrible he was. Too bad the Reform Party trotted out even worse candidates than a bottom 3 PM of all time.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to say Carney has a better resume than PP. However, you forgot that PP is also pro-business, and he doesn't carry any of the negative baggage that Carney has in his long association with, and as an influencer of, Trudeau.
All you have to do is look at where Canada is today, and do you want the same thing, then vote Carney.

If the strategy is to tie Carney to Trudeau, I'd suggest hunting for a better strategy.

Carney is in a different ballgame today, than he was as a banker. As a politician, one has to assume he is going to say whatever he thinks will get him elected. That's obvious by suddenly adopting many of the policies being suggested by PP, although the situation has changed dramatically with the tariffs.
Also, in voting for Carney, even though you are getting someone different than Trudeau, you are also going to get the same old gang that went along with him.

So the only two positive things to be said about PP is that he is pro-business and has no ties to Trudeau?
What makes you think voting for Carney will mean maintaining the status quo? He definitely has a better background than Trudeau as well, so I don’t think there is anything to worry about there.

The only thing I care about, the only thing any half sane voter regardless of political background should care about is who has the best experience and ability to run the Canadian economy through the utter ####show that Trump is about to inflict on the world, that ain't the Tories, not just PeePee but any of them, they have no skill set or experience, in any other election that wouldn't matter so much, they'd learn on the job but the world is far far to messsed up to go through a year or two of the Tories trying to work out how to do the things they want to do
I dont like, have never liked JT but even he is head and shoulders better equiped to run Canada than the Tories right now, Carney is in a different league beyond, literally the perfect PM Canada could have for this particular time and situation

Well his first task is to get elected as leader of the Liberal party. And no, I don't think he'll say whatever it takes to get elected. Some people still have principles, which I suspect he will stick to, given his history.
I know you are used to seeing Conservative politicians do and say whatever it takes to claim power, and assume all politicians behave the same, but not everyone is THAT morally bankrupt. I haven't seen any indication Carney is.

Ah, the favorite Liberal boot licker excuse! CPC is socially regressive! That is why we will ignore 9 years of terrible policy and corruption!

Ok now I know you’re being silly, implying politicians of any party having principles and planning on sticking to them. They will all say whatever it takes to get voted in. You could dig up dirt on any of the 4 major parties within the last election cycle lying to get votes.
Debating between who is more morally bankrupt is a bacterial vaginosis relief product vs fecal flatbread style debate.
