A little early for parties to be putting out platforms. You usually don’t see parties start rolling out platform positions until at least a couple weeks after an election is called. Even then, I wouldn’t expect many specifics. Detailed policy proposals have way more political downside than upside.

Looks like Singh pledged today to prop up the Liberals again for 2 months. After pledging to bring them down once parliament was back in session.

Betting 2 months of Liberals making it rain in Ontario and Quebec coming up.

Maybe if we didn’t have a #### for brains Premier, we’d see the rain in Alberta too?

Careful, you’re bringing logic to the gun fight.

Albertans demand respect in Canada. And they’ll get it by voting a pro-Trump bootlicker who has turned out to be one of the most incompetent, corrupt Premiers in Alberta’s history desperately eager to sell us down the river.

“But Trudeauuuuu !!!!!(echo echo echo…)”

Cause I mean, it hasn’t been like the Federal government has tried to throw money at us and the Premier balks, stamps her feet, and tells them no way. Holy cow. Some Albertan voters love Munchausen-by-proxy’ing themselves.

I highly doubt it. The rain comes from us.

How that guy has any credibility left whatsoever is a great mystery

I’m more surprised the NDP party hasn’t done to him what the Liberals did to Trudeau.

I wouldn’t be surprised if those two drag everything out to the fall.

There's so much crap that goes on constantly, you forget about so many of the self injuries that the UCP has wrought on Albertans. Throwing away the Alberta carbon tax, so that funds get funneled through Trudeau, rejecting the Dental plan, creating a $15/day daycare instead of the federal $10/day. Those three are literally just off the top of my head.

Being offered money for the people of this province and instead insisting that the people suffer instead. How does Alberta not have a Conservative party to vote for, and instead just Centrists and Libertarians?

As much as the Liberal bootlickers here don't want to admit it, PP has actually brought out policies that would benefit all Canadians.

Amazing how far the standard has been lowered for what we should expect from politicians.

Carney is the chosen one, but he doesn't actually have to present a plan of what he'll do. Besides the beloved carbon tax.

I am curious what these pp policies are that are beneficial to Canadians of which you speak.

On the weekend I saw an article which said that Gould wants to offer home buyers an interest free loan, backed by the government, for 50% of a purchased homes value. That seems largely unnecessary and not a smart strategy for dealing with the housing crisis.

His housing plan, specifically getting cities to actually increase housing starts each year.
His Canada First plan, though Trudeau is talking about similar stuff.
Repealing B-69.
Immigration reduction.

There are other buzzwords that likely will result in nothing, but repealing B-69 is more than any of the other leaders are saying.

So let's give you the benefit of the doubt that you truly were asking that question in a genuine matter and you were just misinformed with your narrative or that it was outdated, and Jacks has since given you the info let's take it for what it's worth. Why don't we dig deeper into that poll.

https://abacusdata.ca/canadian-polit...d-resignation/

CPC supporters wanting an election now should not be a surprise. But diehard NDP supporters of this forum (the ones who are the loudest in trying to control narratives through mudslinging means) should pay close attention to the NDP supporter stat. 47% of NDP supporters want an election now, versus 27% who do not want one. An election now is absolutely certain to be the last for Singh as a leader of a 3rd failed campaign. Clearly many NDP supporters aren't blind to the political situation and how poorly Singh is leading the party, and are not happy. So why are some folks here so adamant he is doing a great job or claiming Canadians don't want an election, when even within the NDP support the yes on election double the no's? It's obvious many Canadians across the political spectrum are not happy with the status quo, and aren't necessarily toeing the party line.

Also food for thought for the folks who think the right shifting winds could be favourable for their party fortunes.

Voter apathy is going to be a factor, and it will be much more of a factor for the NDP and Liberals. We could potentially see our first outright majority by a party in 40 years with the current trajectory. The fantasy that Trudeau getting kicked out would improve the fortunes of the Liberal and NDP within a year to the point that Poilievre would lose sleep over it is just completely delusional and out of touch.

Ahahaa. Some good stuff from the memory banks.

Man, the NP's level of shame for platforming thew worst bootlickers in Canada seems to be getting worse. Anti-trans loser Amy Hamm (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/briti...ov-3-1.7018573) penned this Beaverton worthy article for them.
Quote:
Amy Hamm: The therapeutic effect of Pierre Poilievre

Whether they're protesting or praising, Canadians of all stripes flock to the Conservative leader for catharsis
Quote:
And then there’s Poilievre. Whether you love or hate him, need to yell and scream and shout at him, or sing his praises once you’ve calmed down — he’s our guy, apparently.

Talk about missing reality with a ten foot pole.

PP’s plan will be to sell us down the river to Trump.
