And even if she wasn't directly involved(if you are naive enough to believe that) the buck still stops with her. She was directing all of these things.
Goddamn, I read that statement from her again, and I just can't even imagine how she typed that.
Well you see the key here is: "As Premier, I was not involved in any wrongdoing.".
So obviously she just takes off her Premier broach before doing all her wrongdoing. Just like she goes on vacation to Mar a lago as a sovereign citizen on vacation instead of premier or whatever the dumb ####ing idiocy that was.

Alberta NDP demand RCMP investigation
Quote:
Later Saturday morning, Alberta NDP Leader Naheed Nenshi issued a statement calling for a full RCMP investigation, and an independent public inquiry.
“Our team has already written to the RCMP, the Auditor General, and Alberta’s Ethics Commissioner to demand these investigations,” Nenshi said.
“While all of these investigations are ongoing, the Premier, Health Minister, Mental Health and Addiction Minister, the Acting CEO/Administrator/Deputy Minister, and all those implicated need to do the right thing and step aside now to ensure that these investigations will be conducted without political interference.”
I don’t think Smith will resign, but I am surprised that there aren’t calls for her head within the party. I know, it’s politics and all that, but this is absolutely scandalous. The idea of just firing people so they can’t properly investigate, or pass along information for the RCMP to investigate is from a banana republic playbook. It’s shocking that none of the UCP members would see that and stay quiet.
That doesn’t mean she shouldn’t though. This is absolute corruption, and the idea that it should be investigated and reported back to her is a joke.
Frankly, all the Trudeau haters going along with this is disgraceful. It’s outrageous that people lose all sense of morality because they can’t imagine their team losing.

If the investigation states she had direct involvement in influencing procurement I’d agree.
Pretty sure it won’t but we’ll see.
I hate trudeau because he has lowered canada’s standing in the world and has enacted policies that have directly lowered our standards of living. Smith isn’t doing that from what I have seen.
Sorry when did any (relatively speaking) Liberal voter want JT gone over the last decade because of his corruption ?
He’s been as corrupt as any politician over his tenure . Let’s not pretend the “on my side” politics differs between either side
The sooner people realize government is a business in itself and it’s / doesn’t operate outside of its own self interest at any level the better
I voted for him the first time but after JWR he went on the unelectable list. I think the general sentiment around here was he should have resigned over that and the Norman affair.

She's the boss, directing the entire operation. The buck stops with her. Either she's an incompetent manager that had no idea the massive contracts going on under her and the firings at AHS or she knew exactly what was going on, because she was the one giving the orders. So she's either incompetent and guilty or competent and guilty. And given her past actions around AHS and spoken desire to privatize, I'm going with the latter on this.
This "woe is me, what is going on! Let's investigate and send the report directly to me" bull#### is exactly that. Don't be a rube.

Myself, and all of my friends and family that voted liberal in the last election. Hell I didn't even like Trudeau in that last election and was ready to vote for O'Toole until he started pandering to the crazy anti-vax nuts. You can't really both sides this issue when historically only conservative voters have treated politics like a team sport

This is how it’s gone for me as well. I don’t vote for people who are corrupt. I can’t even believe that needs to be said, and you would think most people would feel that way; but here we are.
