Default February 7 with five games.

The Friday OOT has two games of significance in the western
conference playoff race. The Avalanche, Kings, and Oilers are
in action. The Islanders-Jets game is a battle of two of the hottest
teams in the league.

No Crosby or Malkin, the Penguins are down 2-1 in MSG.

Wait, what is this? A penalty against the league darlings. Did these refs not get the memo?

Are the Oilers ever not on a powerplay?

Nice second period comeback by the Penguins. They took a 3-2 lead into the third period and played hang on to the extreme! They had zero shots.

The Jets lead 4-3 in a fast pace game.

Oilers are only in this game because of the McPP. Refs need to keep it close so that the league's darlings have a shot. One trick ponies as usual.

The Flames are 12th in the NHL in PP opportunities with 155.

the Oilers are 21st with 136.

So, I guess no.

Oilers have also led in the bulk of their games, to be fair.

When they fall behind in games, the game management activates like clockwork.

It's not how many McPPs their getting. It's the timing of them, which always seems to be when they're down a goal and getting outplayed. How many times have we seen the Oilers get a desperately needed PP handed to them on a silver platter late in the 3rd when they need the tying or go-ahead goal.

Why is Blackwood playing again? Is their back up that bad?

Yeah, it's this.

Perfectly timed to turn around a game they're being outclassed in. Usually calls against the flow of play as well.

Then there's the Buffalo game. No penalties called until a cheap unnecessary one to give them the lead.

Do the Oilers ever leave the ice after a period of hockey without bitching to the officials. Entitled bunch of pricks who think they should be on the powerplay for 60 minutes every game.
