Yeah why on earth would you pivot when your PM had to resign due to historic unpopularity? Wild.

It took the US tariffs to make the Liberals suddenly realize that what they have been doing for the past 9 years is all wrong for the country. And now they are saying exactly what the Conservatives have been saying all along.

Watching the news tonight, and the 180 pivot, was enough to make a person throw up.

Are they ready to govern in the manner that the general population and conservatives have been telling them to all these years or is it just lip service to win votes? They suddenly don't support the years of policy action and ideology that has established the tenets of the party?

LOL. When they start being racist and homophobic, then tell me they are stealing all of the conservative talking points.

It's obvious that the people, who thank diversion tactics like this and the post above, always seem to be the same people.

The one thing I have learned after 40 years in Canada is Ontarians especially and Canadians to a lesser degree want to vote Liberal, are comfortable with even bad liberal Governments, given the slightest excuse they will run back to the party and Carney's massively more appropriate experience coupled with Trump's antics and the masterful reaction by JT has given many many Canadians a good reason to vote for the Big Red again while every NDP voter in a close seat is going Liberal as well

So you’re frustrated by a government pivoting in the right direction?

I’ve been hoping for all the parties to do that for quite some time. I certainly wouldn’t be throwing up because of it but to each their own I suppose.

My reaction was in thinking how much lost potential and money our country has lost over the years due to Liberal policy, along with all those who have suffered because of an underfunded healthcare system.

If you think the Retories would fund healthcare you understand nothing about the last 40 years of Chicago school economic thought and it's pervasive influence on the right

If only we could still count on them to follow Chicago school economics.

Is that more helpful than focusing on the opportunity to fix it now?

I'll apologize in advance if I missed the sarcasm, but...maybe don't pivot if you actually believed in your stance, rather than what's popular?

So governments shouldn’t listen to the people?

Odd take.

I would hope that a government has a bit more integrity than flip-flopping on whatever the latest poll indicates, but that's probably too much to ask for these days.

Must be a pretty sad life being so mindlessly partisan that you look for reasons to complain about parties you don’t like doing things you agree with.
