If I'm honest, I think Spurs getting Tel is a brilliant bit of business, even if its only on loan.

If they are lucky maybe five years. They have been run by drunken dufii bankers for years. Imagine as an example paying 60 million for a old passed it defensive midfielder. Literally 3 times what he was worth and Madrid is still laughing. They you pay him 350k a week? Wasn't worth even a 1/4 of that wage. That is only one example of many and he is still sitting at the club quite content to just get paid and not play. Going to take years and years of good management just to get to the spot where they can actually move forward.

Yeah I thought that ship had sailed, so it’s great news. Apparently, it’s a loan with the option to buy, so maybe he sticks around permanently.

Oh! I hadn't read about the option to buy. That might be a sweet bit of business.

Premier League clubs spent approximately £370 million ($459m) in this past transfer window, with Manchester City paying out £180m ($223m), nearly as much as the other 19-top flight teams.

City made big splashes in a bid to spark their season into life after a dismal first half of the campaign.

Pep Guardiola's side has brought in Eintracht Frankfurt's Omar Marmoush in a £59m transfer, followed by Palmeiras' Vitor Reis for £29.6m and Lens' Abdukodir Khusanov for £33.6m.

Before Monday's deadline, City secured the arrival of FC Porto's Nico González by splashing out £50m, equivalent to the player's release clause.

Hows that FFP trial going?

They hung in there...for a bit...

Spurs defended the corners pretty well until the end there.

We really need to send our thoughts and prayers to Kelleher's hands today, they looked pretty cold after zero shots on goal.

It is tough to go an entire game doing almost nothing in the cold like that.

That was a disgraceful exit. I had hopes of salvaging a draw, but Spurs just showed nothing today.

Without meaning to pile on...if Angerball is going to be your ethos you kinda gotta show some attack.

If Angerball is going to be your policy of pure offence and your defence is suspect you kind of have to attack.

The only guys I think that actually shot at the net in anger were Son and Kulusevski and he's kind of asking them to carry more water than they really can.

In fairness though Slot started a pretty strong team, especially the back 4 and Kelleher is no slouch. He's no Loris Karius though.

Well the issue is our midfield just got run over and they were largely useless. But I think he came in thinking we’d soak up the pressure and hit on the break, only our defence is not good enough for that, and the midfield offered no protection.

So we're all pulling for Leicester today right? Even United fans should want Leicester to win so they can focus their attentions on not getting relegated?

ugly stuff. I want to believe in Amorim, but he makes it tough ... that is some dreadful football right there. Slow, boring, uninspired, innocuous. I've long written off this season anyway, but I'd at least want to see some progress and positive signs for next season. I'm not seeing it, far from it.

This truly is the darkest timeline, and I fear it's only the beginning. Liverpool probably waltzing to the title, City probably escaping serious punishment, United probably floundering outside of the top 10. I knew we'd have to atone for the success under Fergie, but surely, we've suffered enough at some point, right? Right?

Speaking of suffering, kudos to the linesman for allowing that Maguire goal despite being two yards offside. He didn't want to watch any more of that caca either, ending all the suffering of those who watched.

I just watched highlights but "Miles offside but whatever, theres no VAR tonight" pretty much sums up Man United.
