It's okay guys, all governments are a little bit corrupt! Nothing special to see here!

And straight up lying. They ran on one platform, and clearly are creating a completely different one.
I'd also add an 'in office' caveat. If the electorate loudly asks for you to not do something, to the point that you stop doing it (good for you!), but that's just a smokescreen, and you wait for the initial fervor to die down so that you can do it anyway. The Eastern Slopes. That's just not lying, that's some treacherous ####.

They can say whatever they want. Like put in a 15% PST and the simpleton lemmings will just lap it up.

The UCP has never been held accountable. The Conservative Party before then just the same. It's not good to have unchecked power that long.

Can’t say that though or you’re an “other sider”.
When it’s really: “no, mother ####er, the party that most aligns with my values keeps ripping us off and we need to correct it!”

The worst part is they could actually get away with passing good policies that help people in need with no opposition but for some reason they opt not to do it.
Until they decide to show us through their actions that it’s no longer the case, every Albertan needs to see this party for who they are: corporate puppets who are selling us out for their own personal gain.

We all knew that at the previous election, so I don't think them showing Albertans who they are is going to change anything.

If I recall correctly, the last time one of their leaders was honest with Albertans and proposed policies that might actually help, they got replaced by the NDP. They have obviously learned their lesson.

All good scandals have nicknames. I saw 'Playoff Payoff' thought it was good.
Need one for the coal mining too.

What I meant is that they could easily put some policies in place that could do some good and that Albertans would be on board with but they choose not to. Instead they appear to be obsessed with pushing the interests of a single industry whether it benefits the majority of Albertans or not. I think it’s good to promote the interests of our core economic industries, but you need to be doing so in conjunction with trying to improve the lives of your constituents.

If you guys want to see the UCP with some competition, you should probably push to replace the party of jagmeet Singh as their opposition.

Fifth Estate has a report on right wingers trying to put their marks on public libraries. Guess where they chose to investigate, and what political parties/movements are involved:

I still am quite confused as to why so many conservatives and right-wingers care so much about what's between people's legs and how they lives their lives. They creepily spend too much of their days thinking about other people crotches. It's perverted and obsessive behaviour.

Exact this. A name change would confuse and confound people not paying attention. NDP turned into the Central Conservative Constructive Party of Alberta, would probably win.

They may want to steer clear of the CCP acronym or people will connect the dots.

I very carefully made it CCCP of Alberta, I thank you.
Seriously, they are a centralist party, and should be named as such.

No, we are not all to blame. That’s an easy way to say “I don’t do anything about it” but there are plenty of people (even those who risk their jobs) who do. People who actively vote against these people (unlike yourself).
Not every politician does this. Not every party is like this. Not every government runs like this. And not every person is to blame for this.
It’s time people stop the generic hand waving and lame platitudes and actually hold people accountable. Of the common people to blame, conservatives in Alberta are responsible. Figure your #### out, grow up, and stop voting for and defending these idiots.
|
Are you actually this dumb in person? If I met you in person would you be this stupid? Defending them? I am 100% comfortable with them being executed. There is no defending corruption. Trust me when I tell you, the fact that we allow this nonsense in Canada is a direct result of a lot of people not caring about anything. If the AB Health Minister showed to peoples homes door knocking, a shocking amount of people wouldn't give her the time of day. Just brush her off cause the Flames game is on, dinner on the stove and their ugly mut is barking away.
Unlike a lot of homers, I don't defend my team when it comes to this garbage. These garbage is prevalent everywhere in politics in Canada, people are just that naive. Save me the "not every party does this" When your dealing with billions and billions in contracts, it's like having honey on your fingers. It's pretty dam easy to take a lick.
