I'm okay with it providing the money is reasonable as he hasn't missed a game in the last couple of seasons and his stats have been pretty consistent.

The CFL has slapped American defensive lineman Shawn Lemon with an additional two-game suspension for violating its drug policy.

Fraser Sopik has returned to the Stamps fresh off a Grey Cup victory with the Argos...
According to sources, the Calgary Stampeders have agreed to terms on a contract with Canadian linebacker Fraser Sopik.
The six-foot, 205-pound defender won a Grey Cup with the Toronto Argonauts this past season. He recorded 57 defensive tackles, six special teams tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble over 15 regular-season games, making 12 starts at weak-side linebacker.

Also, DaShawn Amos is still looking for a CFL team to play with in 2025 - With Houston's availability to get a work visa seriously in doubt with the above news, it could make some sense for the former Stamp to return to Calgary.

Cody Grace will be punting for the Elks in 2025...
Global punter Cody Grace has agreed to terms with the Edmonton Elks, sources have confirmed to 3DownNation. The news was first reported by TSN’s Farhan Lalji.
Barring anything unforeseen, the 28-year-old will re-unite with his former special teams coordinator and current Elks’ head coach Mark Kilam in Green and Gold.

Well, scratch that idea, Amos just agreed to join the Ti-Cats.

I also find it odd the Flames released a video with Michel two weeks ago right before free agency, thought they would have a deal done.

I think the Stamps are definitely better at the receiver position with the additions of Dominique Rhymes and Tevin Jones. My major concerns are with the o-line and d-line and linebackers, some holes certainly need to be plugged.

I also wonder what the recovery status of Henry is and if there is any chance he can contribute this year. We really have missed his deep threat, but two serious injuries over the past two years is gonna be hard to come back from.

Totally. Also, the two #11 jerseys I bought at McMahon at the start of the 2023 season are also very curious about Henry's status.

Henry is still just 27 years old so he's probably got some good football left in him but I'm not sure what the recovery is for a knee tendon compared to a torn ACL which usually results in the first year back being less productive as it seems to take a full season for a player to get back to where they were if they ever do.

So disappointed in Dickenson since free agency started. Where are the aggressive moves Dickie said he would be making in free agency? He's sat back and watched his counterpart up north grab all the free agents. Dickie has barely stuck his toe in the water. Just scraps left now.

He did play some games with the Elks in 2023, so he does have recent CFL experience.
The Calgary Stampeders have signed American defensive back Marloshawn Franklin Jr. to their training camp roster.
The 28-year-old spent the latter half of last season in the European League of Football after being cut by the Edmonton Elks prior to the season. In seven regular-season games and three playoff contests with the Rhein Fire, he amassed 38 total tackles, two forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, four pass breakups, and three interceptions. He contributed six tackles in the Dusseldorf squad’s ELF championship victory over the Vienna Vikings.

Another D-? lol
We better draft Rourke and just rebuild until he is ready.

Signing Rhymes and Webb is aggressive for the Stamps. I think there's a fine balance between spending like a drunken sailor and making prudent signings to fill holes. Even with the moves the Elks made I don't consider them the team to beat in the West.

Hopefully Dickenson gets his #### together.
The Stamps were 175-70-3 with Hufnagel as GM, and went to 6 Grey Cups while winning 3 of them.
Dickenson takes over and they go 11-24-1 and are quickly becoming the laughing stock. Running the franchise into the ground.
At least he has a QB now.

The Elks losing both Geno Lewis and Tevin Jones (their two best receivers from last season) is certainly going to sting. I mean, if they think Kaion Julien-Grant and former Stamp Tyson Middlemost are suitable replacements, I think they are in for a rude awakening. That said, i do like the additions the Elks have made along the offensive and defensive lines, they gutted the Argos big time.
I agree with EE though, they should be better, but I think the West is wide open this season and there's no clear cut favorite in my mind that will win the division.
