In general, I agree with you. I happily go weeks and even months on end without thinking or talking about Donald Trump. As a Canadian, I have better things to do than getting wound up about American politics on a daily basis.

However, I think Canadians can be forgiven for talking about Trump lately. He has not only provoked what may turn out to be a severe economic downturn in Canada, he has threatened to annex this country - a threat Canadians have not been subjected to in living memory. His recent actions and threats are genuinely consequential for Canadians.

Getting an infection in my finger right above the nail. Infection is clear now after 2 weeks of pain, but now it's apparent that the nail growth got ####ed as I can see bare nailbed under the cuticle. So now I get to watch my finger nail fall off in slow motion, and hope that it grows back eventually

This is top ten petty grievance here and a bit of a laugh. I want a donair but the place insists on a baklava for free and I hate turning it down because it seems they get angry. They are way too sweet and I don’t like them, ok I’ll take it home for the wife but now I have to hold in the palm of my hand while carrying the donairs driving home with a sticky gross treat and I end up getting honey in my car. Chuck it in my mouth and its load of sugar. Maybe I should say I’m diabetic????

It actually leads to a real gear grinder, people who get offended if you don’t eat a lot, like friends or co-workers. It’s not endearing at all, old Italian nonna force feeding you, please no. Hate eating until I feel gross.

Appreciate the offer and generosity but don’t make me say no twice. Would way rather an unsolicited package grab than to be guilt fed full. Seriously.

Lol! I actually told this story to a client of mine, but many years ago I used to work for a very...lets call him a 'heavy' man. Think about 350+.

He'd take everyone out for lunch and he LOVED buffets. I like the selection, but I'll never eat the 'value.'

And that drove him nuts!

So I just told him: "I'm not doing this anymore. I'll take care of my own lunch."

If you didn't have at least 3 heaping plates he'd berate you for wasting his money. I cant eat that much. Not to mention...this is lunch. We've still got work to do this afternoon.

Ugh...that was awful. Made worse by the fact that the guy was so demanding of all of the staff...it was quite uncomfortable.
