Bandwagoners. Sure there are your die-hard leafs fans there that have been fans for many years in attendance, but lots of sudden leaf fans due to their regular season success and guys like Matthews/Nylander/Marner.
Same reason there are so many disgusting hideous orange and blue jerseys when the No-goods play here. High profile players and success=bandwagon fans. I'd bet many of those white and blue jerseys have Marner, Matthews or Nylander on the back.
I'm not trolling either, happens in every professional sports league. Combine that with a large number of easterners that moved here for work.

I impose a 300% tariff. It’s Yuuge. The greatest tariff ever seen. They’re all basically Calgary neighbourhoods.

Time to let him go.
And the Flames 4th line is little short of an unmitigated disaster.

Agreed, yet they keep marching Barrie out there. Foolish.

Team is not great. Ticekts are expensive, season ticket holders can make money off leaf fans. Lot of corporate seats in the lower bowl.

I'm curious how you plan to do that. When you sell your tickets, do you say "but you have to be a Flames fan"? Whoever is willing to pay gets them.

Joke's kind of on you if you're a Toronto/Edmonton native living in Calgary.
Says a lot about the quality of the town you cheer for when you leave it behind to settle here.

A lot of people say that's smart, A LOT. Some people are even saying that you are a genius.
We should let you run the Flames, then we would tired of all the winning, sooo much winning.
Covfefe in peace my brothers.

Unfortunately I ended up at this game which I try to avoid every year. Not fun.
Flames looked tired, onto the next

We really need Bahl back.
I'm even more confused on the Flames than before the trade. But I think this is who we are if Wolf doesn't turn into Hasek each game lol.

I'm not so sure. They don't usually play this badly - credit to the Leafs but Flames played like horse #### tonight. There were way more stupid plays tonight than normal.
The D pairs are discombobulated with Bahl gone, and we are short one legit NHL calibre D when he comes back, but they are not as bad as tonight's performance would have us believe.

Rough game. Especially Barrie, Bean and Hanley
Speaking of rough, I had to watch the game on the Leafs TSN feed. Gord Miller is a legend, but holy smokes is Mike Johnson ####ing awful

Wolf needs to be elite for us to succeed, but two three on ones in a span of ten minutes, that's something the team can clean up for sure.

Getting Frost and Farabee just muddies the water even more for me for the flames walking the line of mediocrity. Burn the tape on tonight's game, but even once Bahl and Zary back what are we doing? It's a fun, competitive team most of the time and admittedly fun to warch. But I have trouble seeing the Flames being more than either catching a wild card spot and losing in the first round or just missing the playoffs. Both equal a mediocre draft pick again this year.
I guess the argument is stay competitive, then once the young prospects are ready (Parekh, Brzustewicz) the flames take that next step. I guess that's the plan?
Yes, the flames can hang with teams like the Jets, but in a 7 game series? And then we lose to teams like St. louis twice.

Need to get Solovoyov or Kuznetsov here, Barrie should be moved tomorrow.
Also a night that shows points don't matter, Huberdeau had one of his rougher games of the year but got two assists from it.

Barrie is incredibly slow.

#### I am mad. A glorious opportunity to gain some ground on Vancouver and in typical flames fashion, they piss it away on home ice. 3 losses in 4 games, after Vancouver just inploded their team. Why can't the flames ever make things easy?

Still can't believe how done Barrie is as a hockey player.
Can't defend for beans now because he's got no more legs anymore.
It's one thing to get made to look bad by Bobby McMann but to get walked by Ryan Reaves and almost make him look like Bobby Orr....Wow. That is quite the pathetically embarrassing feat.
I mean Barrie almost made Reaves score a semi-impressive goal. Holy smokers.

Yes, please! I think Huska will have a better time getting a couple of the kids to play his system. He knows them. I know this is a playoff push, but short a trade I think the path to workable D pairings is shorter utilizing the kids versus trying to get Bean and Barrie to fit in (Hanley seems fine paired with Pachal).

Tonight Huby and Kadri played like that stretch last year when they had no chemistry and were not in synch. It was a weird game for them.

Frost and Farabee are really good middle six players. We'll need them.
There's a wide spectrum between a 'blow it up' and 'try to make the playoffs' approach to building a winning team.
I think Flames know they have a good foundation but are low on elite talent. They have the elite goalie. Need an elite D and C. Those things probably only come in the draft, but some feel our scouts have found the C in Cozens and that we already have the elite puck moving D in Parekh. So all we have to do is convince BUF to send us their C.
Some of our vets eventually move into a M-NTCs and my guess is they will be moved then if it needs to happen, and that will make room for more of our middle six prospects that are in the minors or junior as well as bringing us more picks. Flames are good at finding NHLers all over the draft rounds.
I actually think if we get a real first line, and sort out the 4th along with the incoming D that looks so good on teh farm, then in a year or two the Flames will have a pretty balanced team.
Is Zary - Cozens - Coronato a first line? I'd like to find out.

While many think Cozens can rebound, I doubt many think he is an elite center.
