In other words never. What value do they have? I'd be far more interested in watching Miromanov and Solovyov play.

Not saying he's having a bad game, but not as good as we've seen, that's for sure.
Ya this might be the only game some of them watch and its one of his worse.

Should trade for a competent #5 and call up a Wrangler - preferably YK or AG.

For sure. They are playing way above expectations. I just don’t get people calling to add at the deadline.

I don’t mind Bean as a bottom pairing D, but playing Barrie over Miromanov is unforgivable at this point. Barrie forces plays and when out of position loses the footrace with any other NHL player.

Playing non-nhl caliber defenders when the team is fighting for a playoff spot is borderline disrespectful

You don't have to waste a 1st or 2nd.

If Barrie isn't scoring he's essentially useless.

Despite how I think this game is likely to end, I'm curious to see what the Flames do in the 3rd. If a comeback is in the cards, what a comeback it'll be.

He's the only guy on the RH side of the ice and needs to cover Andersson's pinch and stay as the high man on the RH side after passing to Bean.

He keeps position there and the puck easily stays in the zone after Bean's shot.

Or the third, for that matter. If you can get a cross-ice pass through that deep into the other team's zone, you have to. That one is on Barrie, not Huberdeau.

It's probably more on Huberdeau. He shouldn't have collapsed down after making the pass to Bean.

If he's covering the right point or stays where he was when he made the pass then the puck probably goes right to him.
He was driving the back post because he thought Bean would be able to put the puck on net coming down Main Street. Waiting at the right point expecting an NHL dman to not be able to hit the net would never make sense. bean puts that on the left pad and the rebound goes right to Huberdeau.

Get Iginla in the dressing room to fire up Klapka for the 3rd! I’d like to see something from Farabee sooner than later.

He's more at fault on the 4th than the 3rd IMO.

On the 3rd he's an offensive player trying to make a good play to Barrie who is open and yelling for a pass.

The failure was more that the pass misses and nobody covers.

On the 4th he's has to be the guy covering the point there, he can't activate down low after making that pass to Bean with nobody behind him on the right point.

If they can play hard, stay positionally sound and not take penalties, who knows.

Do I have faith in them to do all those things after what we saw in that frame?

Errrr no.
