We have no one on our defence who can be the late player and score. Anderson goes for the wrap arounds for reason, Weegar misses the net, the rest chip it in.

I still cant even...how did that stick tap prevent him from making that save when the puck was 4+ feet behind him already

And Zary's still out!

Frost makes such a difference on that third line. A natural NHL center injected there looks like night and day.

I was assuming the interference was called on the initial shot when Huberdeau's stick was in Woll's blocker... is that not right?

Watching back again, the Flames called back goal was pretty weak. The puck beat Woll clean, hit Huberdau. then bounced into the back of Wolls leg, then Huberdaus stick and Wolls leg mad contact. If Huberdau wasn't there Woll might have kicked it into his own net.
Torontos was pretty clear, you rarely have that easy of a time measuring the goalpost, Wolfs head made the call easy

Even if Huby touched Woll’s blocker, goalie still ’blocked’ the shot.
 Weak call back IMO too.

I think it was actually called because Huberdeau’s stick contacted the blade of Woll’s skate when the puck was behind Woll. But Woll had no way to push off and propel himself backward to reach a puck that far behind him. He was out of the crease, the contact was incidental, and it didn’t prevent him from making what was already an impossible save. Bad call.

I kind of expect that call as soon as I see Hubey's stick touched Woll's pad because it's against the Leafs

I mean if thats not a goal about half of all goals shouldnt count. Leafs are 5-0 in challenges. No more screening goalies its interfering with their eyesight

Plus, Tanev pushed Huberdeau into Woll, so that's yet another reason it was a BS call.

I feel like they put a lot less thought and deliberation into the 2nd called off goal than the first.

It took them about half as long too.

So, did Sportsnet just completely ignore the Flames called back goal during the intermission? They showed the Leafs one, but I don't remember seeing the Flames one.
