Delaying things 30 days still really hurts the economy. Think of all the projects that were going to start in Q2 and Q3 2025. To procure the materials they would need to have them on order in the next 6 weeks or so. The uncertainty is going to delay and cancel many projects.

Also Scotiaplace is going to be way over budget with any kind of Tariffs

I think you have to take him seriously in my line of work. It’s different for you; you’re an American in the US and you support his views and policies. You can sit back and see what happens with the results having minimal impact.

We are getting closer! My argument was that if Trump left the tariffs in the market would have bled because the expectation was that he wouldn’t actually do it. The market tanked and he backed off.

Hmm agree to disagree, there is a leader of another country who has explicitly said he wants to annex our country through economic means. I’m sorry if words hurt your feelings but there is a threat to our sovereignty and I’m not willing to listen to opinions that play down the severity of it. I’ll absolutely cut out the insults, but know that I think anyone who espouses Trumps views is scum.
