Is JT making an announcement today regarding our response? If so, what are some things we want to hear?
EDIT: Nvm, JT is making an announcement soon

Part of it will be offset by increased domestic production and the rest will be filled by OPEC and higher prices.
If you shut it off, it will be catastrophic for the Canadian oil economy. Better to keep it rolling and buy time while you build your own pipelines and refineries.

You seem as intelligent as a rioting Canuck fan. How does what Trump did help American consumers? Can you read?

Don't follow Trump down the stupid slide and implement Canadian Tariffs. That's what will truly hurt the average Canadian.
Part of me thinks that sick #### wants to make it worse for Canadians under the guise of "fighting back", because surely our own PM must know how tariffs work.
At least I think he does...
|
Yeah, sadly Barton made a remark about half an hour ago that seemed to equate reciprocating this madness with a show of Canadian strength.

No, you absolutely curtail production. It's not made up by OPEC because they need heavy oil and it's the Midwest that needs this. They can get that from Venezuela or Iraq, but let them figure that out. He gave us the opening and showed that he's vulnerable with energy, so you hit them where it hurts to stay in the game longer term.

Wait a second. So Danielle Smith didn’t save Alberta?
I’m glad I’m on vacation next week, having to talk to all the Trump voters down South would be extra painful.

Its quite alarming reading some of the opinions and perspectives of republicans...
They are convinced they don't need us.... at all... They are convinced the USA has been taken advantage of by both us and the Mexicans.
History has truly been made... We are on our own. We need national unity now.

I do agree with this. Itd suck for Alberta but is the right thing for Canada and you need to hammer them for violating our trade agreement for the second time in 10 years.

Many seem to be focusing on these tariffs on Canada hurting Canada more that the US. But everyone seems to forget that Trump is placing tariffs on multiple countries, meaning they are going to get hit back by multiple sides.

Might be a blessing in disguise if people can look back in 20 years and all that is built.

Multiple freeways? A lot of traffic capacity needed in that Fort McMurray - La Ronge - Flin Flon - Attawapiskat cooridor?

They can't magically replace the refineries that depend on our crude.

She is a California Trump Voter.... hhahaha. Takes guts to vote for an orange rapist in that state.
What kind of useful advice can she offer to us other than to suck it up and pay the tariffs!
