Just heard from a very legit source... Flames will have a 5pt lead on the Canucks after tomorrow night.

Wow. Normally I know Cheese puts in the Flames birthdays to make us feel old, and he succeeds, but the reminder that Chris Simon is dead kind of unexpectedly got me in the feels.

He blends in with the ice, he is like a hockey chameleon! Or a Ninja!

You're lucky he could even get that!

He is....the Frost man! Granted, with that name he picked a hell of a day to come to Calgary...

Those lines are getting very interesting. Even more so when. Ray comes back. I’m guessing Pospisil will have to go on the fourth line.

The story about Ric Nattress was a nice touch.

This is definitely the most excited I have been for a Flames game in possibly a couple years but definitely this season. The trade from Thursday and seeing the Canucks moves I am fully on the playoff wagon now. Adding 2 guys in their mid-20’s who can play in our top 6 at the cost of a 2nd, 7th and some expendable bottom 6ers was an impressive coup by Conroy.

Those lines look great and pumped to see what happens when Zary is able to join the group.

Hoping for 4pts this weekend. The wings are rolling since the coaching change so this one won’t be easy

I think Conroy realized that Wolf was not going to let him get a Top10 pick anyway.

One of the best parts of getting Frost is we hopefully never see Backs on the PP again.

Where to put Zary given that lineup? The most natural options seem to be on the wing next to Frost, with Pospisil moving to the 4th line to wreak havoc. Another option is Zary continues at centre. You could put Zary in Bishop’s spot. The 4th line seems like a waste of Zary’s talent, but Zary could probably drive that line on his own.

But this lineup is perfect! (until Zary comes back)

Interesting. When Zary is back, that will likely be it for Backlund on the PP (and it's time)

The Flames are now closer to top 10 than bottom 10.

And they just got better.

Why all the back to backs.

We've had quite a few it seems, with sparse play in between them.

Couldn't the schedule-makers disperse the games more evenly.

Fingers crossed that Frost has the ability to enter the zone with the puck on the PP. Conroy seemed to infer that in his presser on Thursday after the game

Not only that, but CGY has a 23 hour turnaround. And Detroit has a 22 hour turnaround! Absolutely brutal scheduling.

This game should have been on at 5:00 to give the teams more time to get to the west coast after. Instead, McDavid is whining that his poor team has to paly at 5:00.
