I'd prefer cozens to pettey

Everyone knew Miller was going to be dealt but it feels weird that he finally got dealt. They should have got more back imo but who knows what the market was. I wonder if Demko, EP and Boeser get traded too. Surprised at the return, Vancouver lost the trade.

Boeser is the player on Vancouver at forward who always scares me the most. Solid player.

Wrong thread lol

I dont see us as much of a fit. They need a center back, kadri wont wave, nor Backs, frost you just got so unlikely to say the least, that leaves zary?

No thanks. I like our center depth right now, with the caveat of whats on the team.

Only trade i see is for a middle pair defender that can move the puck, maybe score occasionally.

I do see a fit where Pettey is moved for Cozens and Byram, and both teams have talked about it.

With other loss last night, Vancouver remains fragile.
Lots of rumblings of Toch not taking his option and getting out of Vancouver.
He was on Millers side in this fiasco.
Boeser’s name also out there.
Then you’ve Hughes who could also depart, not happy right now.

It’s just a tire fire in Vancouver… still.
That room is absolutely shattered.

If the Canucks end up going full rebuild, and Chicago gets the first overall pick in this draft, who says no in this trade?

To Chicago: Hughes
To Vancouver: 1st overall in 2025 + Chicago’s 1st round pick in 2026 (top 5 protected)

This is under the assumption Hughes will want out.

That’s actually really interesting for both teams. Van gets their pick at first and Chicago solidifies their back end.

Chicago. They would rather have Schafer, or one of the centres (with the huge cost benefit) and their first in 2026.

Hughes is signed for 2 more years, so they wouldn't even have the certainly of entertaining an extension for him.

Too much risk as good as he is.

Well , looks like the deadline doesn't matter this year. Everyone seems to be kicking off their shopping before the 4 nations.
Maybe Conroy has another deal in him before the tourney.

Brad better get in his horse. He's been caught napping.

There is no trade freeze during the tourney correct? Feels like a lot of the activity will come right before and right after

Did I see Flames announce Kerins with a new number? Isn't that a sign the coach has told him he's staying up?

If so, got to keep developing him at centre, no?

With Kerins getting a permanent number, I wonder if Ronney is gone soon.

Or is that just because Farabee wanted it?
