Not good enough. If they truly wanted to be here they would be super duper pumped.

He won't hit homeruns on every deal but he makes deals.

Well lets be fair though. I really wasn't a Treliving fan by the end but those trades that he was in on but couldn't get done were typically star players that would be acquired to push a team over the top and 90% of them were needing the star players to basically agree to re-sign in Calgary to close the deal.

Those are vastly different than a trade like this. But this is such a great trade, really loving it after letting it sink in

That's perfect for Huberdeau, wonder if Farabee can play right wing?

On topic though, Ryan Leslie is on the Kyper and Bourne show right now and mentioned that he doesn't think Craig is done. And unprompted, as he was talking through Conroy having so much cap room, brought up how Rantanen is of interest for Conroy. Also confirmed when asked by Kypreos that Andersson doesn't want to go anywhere and Conroy wants to bring him back. "That deal will get done, it's just about timing."

I mean political beliefs reflect a person's core values. Ofcourse some people can't just turn this part of their brain off for a game.

Same reason why Kuzmenko refused to use the tape.

If Conroy flew a private jet to meet them then that is excessively wasteful.

Asfor the hockey related stuff.
Feels like true rebuild is not in the plans and if they're thinking about going for Rantenen caliber players, they're full tilt on being competitive now.

I have been thinking that is the best spot for him.

Pelletier was an upgrade on Pospisil, and Farabee is an upgrade on Pelletier.

And it gives Farabee the opportunity that he has been looking for, and a chance to break out.

I'm glad we got rid of Kuzmenko. Anyone who refuses to wear a pride jersey can take a hike. We never should have brought him in.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha this has to be a joke right? Carbon emissions? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Wow that is special.

Farabee acquisition reminds me of some the deals the knights made in expansion
A young asset that is not performing to their contract from a team looking for cap space to get out of the money.

No direct flights from PHL to YYC, Players are needed for game tomorrow night so getting them here asap to meet the team, have a skate, get set up in whatever Flames townhouse they are going to be staying all makes sense.

If a plane is going empty might as well go with it to talk the city and team up on the way back. There is an upcoming contract negotiation (Frost) soon so starting a relationship showing he's valued is a good first step.

Did Conroy fly his own private jet there to meet them or did he grab an empty seat on a flight? My guess is the latter.

Really stupid reason to turn this thread political.

Who cares what means of transportation Conroy used to go greet the new players and escort them to the city? I can’t believe that in a hockey forum talking about hockey trades someone feels the need to bring their woke BS political agenda into the discussion.

If ‘don't fly private jets because it hurts the planet’ really is one of your core values, you should be calling for the NHL and all other major-league sports in North America to be abolished. Every single flight carrying athletes from one city to another, for no better purpose than to play a kids' game against other athletes, is unnecessary.

Excessively wasteful? Might as well cancel all sports and any sort of entertainment. He wants to fly on a jet to greet his players, go for it.

I think Morgan Frost upside is an average middle 6 center. I'm not sure I see him as a guy that would be a middle-6 center for a Stanley Cup champion. Farabee I see as the best player in the deal. Obviously Frost is important since he's a center, but still a lot of work needed in that department for the Flames.

Frost at 25 is entering his scoring prime now.
