Could be good pieces for the future, but the Nucks lose the best player, and are not as good, today, as they were before the trade.

I think JT Miller could fall off a cliff at any moment but man this makes the Canucks quite a bit worse right now.

If it's Schneider or KA Miller as part of the return, the Canucks would have to pony up some prospect value.

I think at a minimum the defenseman Petersson goes as well.

New York....has any team done so little with so much talent over the decades?

If that’s it, you gotta think that based on the rumours Hughes isn’t likely to re-sign since this doesn’t seem to do anything for them in the immediate term

calling Brannstrom a "prospect" at this point is pretty funny. Dude is 25.

Flames arguably got more for Kuzmenko and Pelletier.

Leafs are in the running for that booby prize. At least the Rangers have won a Cup since 1967.

Conroy gets a lopsided trade done in less than 24 hours. Vancouver takes a month.

Didn’t the Canucks have brannstrom earlier and put him on waivers…?

A couple good cracks with Lundqvist too.

Frost and Farabee both have better numbers than Chytil. Depends how much you value the 1st, but the Canucks are in current window mode, and a late 1st isn't helping much for now.

Conroy had an easier job. He wanted to add a young centre. Vancouver wanted to get rid of an old headache.
