Well first, there is no way I need two of you there. One will barely be tolerable, and two would be just obnoxious! But this will be in the build-up to the Cavalry game in Victoria (probably two devastating defeats in one day...hooray).

Jhon Duran apparently going to Al Nassr for €77m plus add-ons, per Ornstein. Villa also received an offer from Arsenal for Ollie Watkins, but that was immediately rejected ... so looks like they are keeping Watkins, but selling Duran.
ugh. Seeing a 21-year-old going there sucks.

Yeah, too bad. Losing young talent to Saudi league is a shame but so it goes.
Surely they'll keep Watkins now; I don't know who option E will be for Arsenal.
We're out of options.

Tottenham Hotspur have had a €60 million ($62.5m) offer accepted by Bayern Munich on Thursday for their French forward Mathys Tel, sources have told ESPN.
Tel, 19, has decided to leave the German side and is attracting a lot of interest from English clubs.
Bayern wanted €60m for the France under-21 international and Spurs have become the first team to agree a deal with the Bavarian giants.
ESPN sources added, however, that the player has not yet chosen to join the north London club and personal terms have not been reached, although if Tel decides to join Ange Postecoglou's side, it is understood that a contract would be agreed quite quickly.

Damn...I like Tel.

United only stand a chance if it's a loan. I don't see it.
Bayern have really mismanaged him, I still don't get it. With Kane and those other options in attack, he was never going to play enough minutes ... should have loaned him to another Bundesliga team so he can play 90 every week. Completely avoidable situation.

How are Spurs within PSR limits? They've blown everyone out of the water with their net spend, with the exception of Chelsea and Manchester City.

Spurs have enormous flexibility on that front because of the stadium being written off against the allowable losses, along with significant revenues. They have quite literally hundreds of millions that could spend. Willingness is another matter, but PSR isn’t an issue.

You're right, amazingly they have about £180m in breathing room according to this article.
https://talksport.com/football/28600...ot-breach-psr/
I get that wages and hence ticket prices are much higher in London compared to Liverpool, but it seems like an easy out. Can Everton just magically write off their stadium banknote next season then?

well, I was wondering about Everton, but they've had issues for a couple of years, so it might not be as cut and dried. But the thing with Spurs is that they get the stadium write-off against the allowable debt, then they make impressive revenue because tickets there are the highest in Europe (which is a source of fan outrage when they seemingly will not buy anyone!), and then you have that loss from four years ago rolling off the books also. I don't know if the allowance for them is as low as 180, and I think it's considerably higher.
At the end of the day, though, their unwillingness to spend is not due to a constriction with PSR. It's an ownership group that cares about real estate development, concerts, go-karts, and partnerships with baguette firms as opposed to the club. And yes...those are all legitimate things that ENIC has done, including the partnership with Paris Baguette announced this month when the team was unable to field a full team for a Europa League fixture. You just can't make this stuff up.
And with the Tel transfer, it's hard to know how legitimate this is. Like, yes, we could use him, and I'd be thrilled. But, of course, given their history I'm bracing for the 'we tried' pieces to come out.

Tel now likely to stay at Bayern, per Ornstein.
I guess one meeting with Tottenham will do that to you.

Sorry, I got a genuine chuckle out of that one.
"My God....no!!!"

It is somewhat amusing that one day he wants playing time and wants a move for that. Now he’s going to stay and ride the pine instead.
I still think the whole thing was an exercise by Levy to keep the fans off his back. Could we have landed him? Maybe. But the odds weren’t in our favour.

Well. France wasn't taking any prisoners on this one.
Wales hasn't had their asses kicked that badly since the 6th Century.

looks like Rashford is set to join Aston Villa on loan with an option to buy. I guess sometimes miracles do happen if you believe hard enough
I'd be up for a sneaky Tel loan to replace him, but I doubt it'll happen.

Tel wasn’t even on the bench today though, so he’s got to be going somewhere?

WTF happened this morning? Okay, Liverpool won, we all saw that coming and Mo is essentially telling management to STFU and pay him but...
Everton? I know Leicester suck, but 4?
And Forest? Brighton are a good team except today obviously, but Forest over Brighton 7-0? Wha...wha happened??

Saints won their 2nd game of this Premier League season 2-1 at Ipswich Town. It's not quite at the level of the above, but still a surprise result.
