Exactly what some of us have been saying needs to happen with the Flames still in the hunt. Having the developing guys play meaningful games rather than playing out the string, makes a lot more sense and this pushes the team upz knowing the organization wants to develop a winning culture.

Their chances of making it have improved with the Kings dropping like a lead balloon. It's no longer a Calgary vs Vancouver race for one spot. Now three teams for two spots.
VAN will be dumping talent sooner or later which can't help them.
LA looks lost and inept.
I like the team's chances. I hope they line up the Oilers.

I like this trade. I think farabee is a great player. Dont think frost will be a real center solution but scoring farabee for not much is pretty good in my books.

Frost may not be a solution in the big picture, but at least he gives the team the option to punt Rooney to the press box.

Man...Conny just ... inspires! He is SO enthusiastic, yet grounded. What a great choice as GM, and I think a sneaky good one as an evaluator of talent. Huska seems pleased with the trade and the new tools he has at his disposal and both mentioned that the players earned something from the GM and management...great to see!
