It also lessens the need to “add” anything as Wolf has decided we’re going to the post season.

And he plays a position that we really do not need to add to. If he was a natural C then, if nothing else, he could be a new 4th line option. But as a LW....

Hopefully he clears and stays a cap hit on the Blues.

They need another vet NHL forward, And probably won’t do better than Saad for free.

Even with the other year, Flames can deal with it. Cap’s gonna be going up by at least $4.5M anyway, and they can always flip him next year for something if he’s solid.

I’d do it.

It might be worth a shot...are the Flames really looking at being in tough capwise next year with Mantha and Vladar off the books a rising cap, and New deals for Zary and Coronato likely coming in under 14.

Try using him to bolster you now, and be the team retaining 50% to trade him next year if you think he has anything left.

People discuss their teams options same as you’d expect the GM of the team you cheer for to do… super weird. And I haven’t seen people leaning “claim” on anyone recently…
