Well the bolded doesn't make a ton of sense. Maybe early in the season, but now now.

wasn't sure on Pelletier, but he ages out if nothing else. Coronato probably gone on definition so agree
I think argument can be made to make room for Battaglia and Kuznetzov
so could see Jurmio and Lipinski at risk
Jamieson also in play perhaps

Pronman's is always the biggest outlier and, IMO, the worst of the bunch

Pronmans content has value for sure, but yeah, if if it's between Wheeler and him, I trust Wheeler 10 out of 10 times.

Lol coronato is playing in the NHL at a 50+ point pace. But sure, let's put him at #118 for ~23 year olds.

Can confirm, Florida has an abysmal prospect pool. You trade off success for that, but without any first round picks for a bit there is little chance of changing that ranking any time soon.
Flames should be a top ten franchise after the last draft, but a few guys on the list above have probably graduated too. Looking forward to seeing what he thinks.

As with most here, I much prefer Wheeler but I still read the Pronman stuff because you always want several perspectives.

With both guys I think you need to go into it with the disclaimer that it's "One Person's Opinion"
In the end they both have times where their opinion ends up being wrong, but so does every GM, Scout, Coach in the NHL.
Nothing should be taken as gospel or some type of final say.

I agree I don’t see any way they don’t land in the top 10. Likely before the season the flames had a top 5 prospect pool after that incredible (so far) 2024 draft, but graduating Wolf, Coronato, Pelletier? Zary? Would likely prevent them from being a top 5 team

I'm surprised to see the Devils that high. Aside from some solid D prospects the cupboard is pretty bare, especially at center.

those 3 defensemen are awesome though. I wonder whether they consider flipping someone like Casey for a young forward at some point.

I feel like they will move Nemec for a forward. I just hope it's not JT Miller.

He had Buffalo, Detroit, Columbus, San Jose, Anaheim, Philadelphia, Chicago, Nashville Arizona and Montreal in his top 10 last year. Minnesota was at 11 and Seattle was at 12.
Philly has dropped down to 18 and Nashville drafted late last year, so they may fall out of the top 10, and a few of those teams above graduated prospects just like Calgary.
Wheeler really liked Calgary's draft, but it still is probably going to be tough to get into the top 10 as those teams above Calgary last year all drafted pretty high-end prospects as well. I still think they'll be right around 10 this year.

Flames come in at 13.
Quote:
The Flames have turned over a lot of prospects, graduating Matt Coronato, Connor Zary and Dustin Wolf and aging out Jakob Pelletier — the four players who made up the core of their pool for years — in the last year. But the injection of one of the most talented young players in the sport in Zayne Parekh, plus the addition of a 10-pick 2024 class that included two selections in each of the first three rounds and some internal growth from some others has kept their pool strong.
1 Zayne Parekh, RHD
2 Matvei Gridin, RW/LW
3 Samuel Honzek, C/LW
4 Hunter Brzustewicz, RHD
5 Etienne Morin, LHD
6 Jeremie Poirier, LHD
7 Henry Mews, RHD
8 Aydar Suniev, LW
9 Rory Kerins, C
10 Arseni Sergeyev, G
11 William Stromgren, LW
12 Andrew Basha, LW
13 Jacob Battaglia, RW
14 Yan Kuznetsov, LHD
15 Luke Misa, C
