He’s also said Canada will soon be American too. It’s like your elderly grandfather spouting nonsense.

“C’mon, grandad, let’s get you to bed.”

A Danish politician told him to f*** off while in Parliament the other day. I don’t have the clip handy at the moment, but you can easily look it up. It was pretty great.

Orange rapist puts on instant 25% tariffs on Columbia for refusing the military planes to land with the deportees. and a travel ban.

OK we'll take back O'Leary and Rempel if you drop our 25% tariffs!

That's a great way to strengthen Brazil and Venezuela in the region and weaken US influence

The more nations that Trump pisses off makes Canada’s position stronger. Just keep up the vibrato angry orange man.

Canada should call an emergency meeting of the CPTPP, argue it should be ramped up to push back at the US dominance of the region, even if it never happens Trump and the GOP need something to worry about, something that will give calmer saner less senile heads in the US some power

Yes to this. The US is obviously the most powerful nation in the world, but if Canada can work to strengthen other relationships the US can’t fight them all. Trump is quickly going way to broad, to his own detriment, but to our advantage.

Ya know....we burnt the White House down once, I suppose we could do it again.

They'd never see it coming.

"Now you're the 11th Province. Play nice everyone!"

How much would the International Community love to see Canada just do that and say:

"Okay America...thats enough! Settle down now!"

I dont think Trump's strategy will be effective long term. There are many many tariffs he is suggesting that he simply can't impose or can't impose for long.

I know that tariffs hurt the economy of the exporting country because the United States is a massive market, and I am not an economics genius, but doesn't this mostly just serve to harm the United States consumers? It isn't as though Colombia's exports are going to be produced from within the United States.

People celebrate this as a shrewd move, yet to an outsider, it seems as though the United States is handing over international clout and power to countries that should be considered adversaries, namely China, while at the same time increasing costs to US consumers.

It may increase funds for a short period of time but a foolhardy long term plan that goes against the principles that have made the US the gold standard for economies and the US dollar being used for international trade.

I just don't see how there isn't another country that looks at this as being a massive opportunity to bolster relations with a country that is one of the largest in Latin America.

Whatever MAGA thinks is winning, is what Trump says they are winning at. Usually it has absolutely basis in fact.

Trump is using tariffs to negotiate foreign policy goals rather than economic ones. It's a terrible strategy that will backfire on him.

Also... Tariffs are bad for both sides. Free markets are best markets
