I don't know, looks like somebody is profiting a great deal.

It's bizarro world for sure. I know him and his wife well so let's give her the benefit of the doubt and say she does really important work and us men are just stupid. There is zero justification for what amounts to a few zoom calls, emails and and the odd presentation for this salary. Salary aside, she still does extremely little work according to him and he is very open about this

This reads so misogynistic. You obviously have no idea what she does for work, so you’re jumping to a lot of conclusions.

Nothing says a strong marriage like one partner complaining that the other makes too much money for too little work.
Maybe the husband should go to the non-profit and tell them he’ll work twice as hard for half as much and really show his wife what WFH should be like!

And you didn’t even quote the misogynistic part.

Having been on a number of non profit boards this story sounds very fishy. First of all that comp level at a non profit would be rare to say the very least, you would generally be at one of the very largest non profs around and even then that’s a stretch from what I’ve seen. Non profit people tend to be worked incredibly hard and under resourced with lots of extra curricular time required.

Curves always goes way overboard in real life examples when he's making a point. It's hilarious.

Huge salary, of course a “non-profit, “nobody wants to work anymore”, and it’s a woman.
Yeah… this happened for sure and isn’t just the same old tired #### we’ve heard for years all bundled into one tale.

It’s funny watching him use the same formula over and over again.
- brings up a “real” issue with some loosely related anecdotes that suggest he doesn’t actually know much about the issue
- people point out the obvious
- brings up even more loosely related anecdotes, which are now borderline absurd or have nothing to do with the original issue
- people once again point out the obvious
- reframes criticisms of the anecdotes as denial that the original issue (which hasn’t even really been explored) exists at all
And over and over again.
We’re talking about WFH and his complaints so far have been people not responding to emails and a woman than makes too much money and makes his husband watch the baby for two whole hours (wow!) a couple times a week. Two things that have nothing to do with WFH but he’s going to respond pretending that people are denying issues with WFH exist.

Finds it frustrating cause culturally wise the male looks after expenses and bills. He is killing himself for $95k paying for almost everything.
|
Wait, I missed this part where not only does she make $300k to his $95k but he also pays for nearly everything because men do that "culturally wise"? I know lots of people and this seems crazy. Can you expand what he's paying for?
Like is he paying full mortgage, any and all vehicles, groceries, other bills etc?
while she banks almost all her earnings for herself? Do you know any couples yourself? What's your basis for an insane relationship like that being the norm? And when you say it's because "men do that culturally wise" you are insinuating that it's normal.

Not even just a relationship. They are married… apparently.

If that guy doesn't want his wife that works from home and makes $300K, I'll take her.

Looooooooooooooch

Everyone knows that a regular 9-5 office job is the hardest thing a man can endure.
Wife has to work at home AND look after a newborn? Pfft that's like vacation 24/7.

I just assume the people in all the stories dont actually exist.
Its so weird that they have all these 'friends' in the most extreme examples of whatever windmill they may be tilting at currently.

Yeah, that’s why I mean. He takes the weirdest friends he has, only takes the “man’s word” as gospel, and then inflates the normalcy of their relationship. I imagine his friend was just casually bs’ing about the whole situation and Curves fills in the rest himself.
Curves reminds me of my friend’s dad who came from Hungary. Such a weird guy. Really old world Eastern European vibes and notions about how the world should work.
