I wouldn't worry about it. Its highly unlikely he can even find Canada on a map.

The Venezuelan president recently said he wants to liberate Puerto Rico from the U.S. Maybe he hasn’t heard yet and someone should tell him.

I dont understand the economics of the Canada/US relationship well enough to lay it all out.
But something has to be going on. The fact that Trump is still blabbering nonsense about Canada this many days later. The fact that Kevin Oleary is plastering his face all over every news outlet that will take him, telling Canadians to "Get used to it". The fact that PP is having fundraisers hosted in the houses of American billionaires, and being interviewed by Jordan Peterson. Plus Danielle Smith just being herself. Theres just too much bluster that has been continuing for longer than a single news cycle, for something not to be going on.
For the record, I don't think we're about to be invaded.
But I think people of influence are trying to sell us out of our economic interests for their own gain.
This all sounds way more conspiratory than I intended. I just don't think we can just brush it off as more of Trumps continually insane ramblings.

Well. Look. I'm not a World-renowned international Economist, well...I mean, I might be, but that probably wouldnt be for good reasons and I'd prefer it if nobody told them where I am...
Anyways.
As I've said before I think Drumpf there might have been trying to rattle a few cages and using the 'Tariff Scare' to do it and then he figures he'd put the icing on the cake with this 51st State BS.
Fact is? I dont believe a word Drumpf the Clown says. However, he does have enough people around him that I do think he's trying to soften up an opponent for another concession somewhere else.
What that might be? I do not know. I have a few theories but thats just me extrapolating theories from incomplete information, which, is something I'm quite good at, but its never perfect.
And then we have the ackowledge the perpetual 'Elephant in the Room.'
Trump is generally batcrap nuts. He could do something pathologically insane.
He can. Thats never off the Table.

The cool thing about being a politician is that you don't actually have to have any shame. For some reason people have stopped caring about stuff like this, that would have been a career ender 20 years ago. Yes, yes, Ralph bucks, but that was a year after the election.

I didn't realize Ontario had over $400 billion in debt. And he's just handing out money they have to pay interest on? And here I thought Smith was Canada's dumbest premier.

It’s ####ing wild. When I think of Ralph bucks I think of seeing that Calgary Herald cover page with some absurd amount of oil wealth printed in bold. It actually made some sense.
Here… there are homeless encampments everywhere, overcrowded hospitals (shipping countless patients from hospital to hospital through private companies to get specific tests done), it’s nonsense.

Harper did it in the last election he lost to JT. Trudeau tried it with this GST holiday plus checks. The best part of Harper’s was after Trudeau won their were people blaming Trudeau for the loss of the children deduction on tax returns.
You had Chrétien campaign on killing the GST and he didn’t and it didn’t affect him though early in his tenure.

Canada First!
Ford is a joke. His whole schtick the last few weeks was to get re-elected. He doesn't give a #### about the rest of Canada otherwise HIS province would work to drop the draconian measures they employ to restrict trade between Ontario and other provinces.

A billion dollar loan to Canada Post.
Right after the strike and a price increase from them.
Now I am patiently waiting for the announcement of executive bonuses a la the CBC very soon.

Maybe Charlie Angus should putting together some sort of motion to have Twitter banned in Canada.
Quote:
"He has formed alliances with right-wing populist leaders, amplified extremist influencers and spread hate disinformation towards marginal groups," Angus wrote.
Now, Angus wrote, Musk is getting involved in Canadian politics, "praising the current leader of the Conservative Party, aligning himself with far-right influencers and their platforms and criticizing the current prime minister."

I think it’s more of a stroking a narcissists ego scenario. I think the premiers and the more than likely coming in federal leadership see that the US has canada over a barrel because we have put all of our eggs in one basket. They also see the leadership void coming out of ottawa and they are trying to fill that void.
I’ve read a few articles that have said if Trump doesn’t respect you he will steamroll you. He hates Trudeau. I think the rest of the afore mentioned people are trying to build relationships with him. So the damage can hopefully be minimized.
