The above comment of the game being weird is correct. It is disjointed and Abbott and Hrudey once again being all over the map, amplifies that.

I've noticed a lot of your comments in game threads have something to do with Abbott...

Incredible non-call followed by call. Pretty bad.

Flames following their recipe of:
Lose to horrible teams. Beat great teams?

NHL has a huge officiating problem, I have said it a thousand times. Was good to hear Frank Seravalli say the same thing on Flames Talk but he needs to stay on that everywhere and get other media guys to say it too. It's a huge problem with this league.

Problem is some of the Flames have reps for trying to draw calls. Pospisil and Kadri the main culprits and those are the two that didn't get the benefit of the doubt that period.
Andersson complaining about his is weak as well, that was a full glove off his stick to grab Thompsons body.

IMO He's Blake Coleman 2.0 but more of a playmaker.

Yup. But it is talked about everywhere, at least in Canada. They talk about it regularly in Toronto and Kyper and Bourne just did the other day, Canucks Talk and Donnie and Dhali all the time as well and most recently around the Mcdavid - Garland incident. For whatever reason, the league is choosing to be stubborn and ignore.

As far as I can tell, the reason is that the officials' union is absolutely airtight and refuses to be held accountable by anyone. The one time the NHL resorted to using replacement officials, it was a PR disaster and they have never had the stones to try again.

It looks like they basically have Pospisil as a marked man where they would call him, for anything close without any benefit of the doubt and the opposite going the other way, showing there are biases.

Pelts is turning into a good story. Great character and effort. The kind of heart and soul guy every team needs and he’s looking good, holding his own.

Happy birthday Leslie. One of the best. Even better when he chews gum.
