For some reason, this discussion is reminding me of those Conservative attack ads that prominently featured Chretien's deformed face and asked something like "Is this a Prime Minister?"

Incredibly stupid ads.
I don’t understand people making fun of how politicians look. You hope people aren’t voting based on how people look, we know how that turns out…
Politics, not a beauty pageant.
Whatever floats your boat? I guess?
Abbreviations like PP, who cares. It’s his initials.
I honestly only write P.P. because I can’t for the life of me properly log how to spell his name in my brain.
Same. I can’t be bothered to remember how many Ls and Rs and Is before Es except after Os it has. PP just works. Not anyone’s fault but his parents that it has some relations to what toddlers call their penis. We’re all adults here!
Some people use PP because spelling out annoying names can be hard or one can be lazy at times (totally fair). Some people use PP because it sounds like peepee and it makes them giggle since PP is a weiner.
It's up to you to decide which group you are in. I'd rather just say Poilievre or Trudeau. They are 2 letters in difference.
Now Guillbault, that name is annoying to spell. But nobody would know who SG is if I said it. Even JT is hard to know. JS? PP is known and understood because it is used often, we know who it refers to, and sounds funny (let's be honest here). It's also the only 2 letter acronym being used around here to refer to a politician that I can see, outside of the odd JT.
So yes, several uses of PP like you said are indeed innocent, continue to use it as you wish. When it's parroted by pollsters who have made it their life to make sure he will never be elected and posters here who also try to pass off the CPC as fascist, it's use in those cases tends to be dubious.
In many case folks who use PP are often the same who use Skippy or Milhouse (sometimes in the same post because they are just that hip), so hard to give those folks benefit of the doubt in their use.
Exhibit A
Exhibit B
Like this guy who does it because he thinks it's funny. (which is why he's so on the defensive about skippy when most others don't agree with him).
You could even say...he started the use of the word skippy in this thread and even had to explain its use (even now he's doing it).
why even used nicknames for him? just call him as he is. A rightwing mini maga moron.

Now quote all the posts where you take issue with people calling Trudeau/Singh nicknames.
I’ll wait.

I use the nicknames as a method of determining seriousness.
When I call him 'Skippy' or 'Turdface' its usually because the tone of my post is in jest.
I have no respect for him which is why when I'm being (relatively) serious I call him 'Justin' or 'Trudeau.'
The word "Turdface" has been used...exactly once in 2021 in this forum by Locke in the post you quoted. The others are your own referring to it today.
Ah I see now and understand...you have this deep seeded resentment that Trudeau was once called "Yung Skippy" and "turdface" by someone in this forum when he called an election during a pandemic, this is why you constantly use Skippy for PP as a way to cope and 'get back at the cons'. And this all a thinly veiled whataboutism that the 'other side does it too'. It explains your use of it since.
I think the term Yung Skippy or Turdface used against Trudeau is childish. Locke, shame on you for saying this 4 years ago you made Pepsifree feel bad. Looks like I missed it and didn't call it out so shame on me too for hurting his feelings.
Sorry, your 4 year long deep seeded vendetta against Locke for calling Trudeau names just got poofed in an instant. You have been vindicated and can now retire the use of the word skippy.

Recent history suggests that you’re supposed to end a post like this with “Take the L bruh”

No thanks. Going to keep using it! I didn’t even know Locke had called him that until I followed your lead and searched “Skippy” lol. You’re deep in it son. Get help.
But while you’re frantically searching posts to craft this narrative and satisfy your obsession, how’s the search for all the times you’ve taken issue with other politicians’ nicknames going?
